Here’s How Forgetful You Are, According to Your Personality Type

Here’s How Forgetful You Are, According to Your Personality Type

While some people have incredible memories, others have moments of being rather forgetful. Here is how forgetful each personality type can sometimes be.

INFJ

INFJs often remember the things that matter most to them, especially facts about their loved ones. They pay close attention to the people they care for, and will lock those details into their mind. They are intelligent people, who can process large amount of information at once. INFJs will recall the information they value, but have a way of forgetting things that seem shallow or insignificant. They do have rather rich inner minds, which can cause them to appear easily distracted. Even though INFJs aren’t always present in the moment, they are not generally forgetful people.

ENFJ

ENFJs are very capable of remembering details, especially things that are important to them. When it comes to their loved ones ENFJs can often recall many different facts and even the smallest of details. They simply focus hard and pay close attention when something truly matters to them. ENFJs area also skilled at remembering schedules, which is important since they often take on many tasks at once. They aren’t usually forgetful people, except for certain details that seem completely insignificant to them or their loved ones.

INFP

INFPs are introspective people, who will be sure to recall the things they find important. While INFPs will remember certain things forever, they can be a bit forgetful at times. They are often distracted easily, because their inner minds are so incredibly rich and active. When the INFP is deep inside of their imaginations, they can have a hard time recalling things when they are in a moment of introspection. INFPs might recall these details later on, when the moment has already gone by. They simply have so much going on that they can sometimes appear a bit forgetful.

ENFP

ENFPs are interesting when it comes to forgetfulness, since they have an ability to process so much information at once. ENFPs can often recall many details and facts about things they have found interesting over the years. While ENFPs can remember these pieces of information, they can sometimes forget other somewhat important facts. They don’t intend to forget these things, they just become distracted easily and have a hard time remembering. Their minds are always running over a million things at once, so sometimes they can be forgetful.

INTJ

INTJs are not forgetful people, and have a knack for retaining information. The INTJ can absorb mounds of research and facts, and will process that information in a unique way. They have such vast and complex inner minds, which are capable of remembering so many things all at once. INTJs will not forget information that they deem important, and are skilled at recalling even the smallest detail. This makes it difficult to debate the INTJ, since they can often pull out facts from years ago to assist them in making their point.

ENTJ

ENTJs are not usually forgetful people, and can retain a lot of information at one time. They are skilled at processing important facts and data, and will keep this locked inside of their minds. ENTJs will not forget facts that are helpful or important to them, especially when it comes to their work environment. Their unique memories are often great at helping the ENTJ when it comes to debating with others. They can recall even the smallest detail in order to help them make their point. When it comes to things they find insignificant, the ENTJ might have a hard time remembering.

INTP

INTPs have surprisingly good memories, and are rarely seen as forgetful. When it comes to arriving to events on time, the INTP might find it challenging. This isn’t necessary because they forget, they simply become distracted by their own thoughts and research and will lose track of the current time. INTPs just aren’t as in touch with the present moment, which makes them appear more forgetful than they actually are. INTPs are incredible at recalling even the smallest pieces of information from their research, and have a knack for remembering data.

ENTP

ENTPs love to debate with others, and their superb memories often assist them in this. ENTPs can process so much information at once, and will retain this for long periods of time. This makes them impressive when it comes to arguing their point, since they can bring up the smallest detail from years ago in order to build on their case. ENTPs are intelligent people, who love being able to absorb knowledge, and will certainly remember details that they find important.

ISTJ

ISTJs often have excellent memories, since they have a knack for recalling details. Once the ISTJ attempts to absorb information they will be very skilled at retaining it for a long time. ISTJs have incredible memories most of the time, especially for details they have learned in the past. They can often pull back this information in order to assist them in many ways. This ability to recall information helps the ISTJ get things done at work, but it also makes them hard to debate.

ESTJ

ESTJs often have great memories, especially when it comes to things from the past. They can recall these moments in great detail, and will be great at remembering things about their loved ones. ESTJs have a knack for remembering dates and numbers as well, which can be a rather impressive skill. They use this memory as a way to help them progress in life, and to help them care for their loved ones. ESTJs can often use their memory as a way to debate against others as well.

ISFJ

ISFJs are not forgetful people, and often have excellent memories. They have a knack for recalling details from their past, especially when it comes to dates and facts. ISFJs are especially good at remembering things about their loved ones, since this is very important to them. They are capable of processing information and retaining it very well, especially if it is something that they value and find important to them or their loved ones.

ESFJ

ESFJs are not usually forgetful, and have a knack for remembering the past. ESFJs will recall details about the people they care for most, and will retain information that they deem important. When it comes to things that the ESFJ does not find valuable, they might have a hard time remembering those things. They are more likely to focus on the things they enjoy, or the information that can help their loved ones in some way.

ISTP

ISTPs are great at remembering details, especially things they find important. They have extremely analytical minds, which helps them to retain certain things. When it comes to physical details from their memories, the ISTP can often recall things in an impressive way. If they are trying to remember something unimportant to them, the ISTP might have a hard time doing so. They simply only retain information that can assist them in solving problems or moving forward in life.

ESTP

ESTPs have impressive memories, especially when it comes to physical details. They can often recall things in such detail that it is somewhat astonishing to witness. The ESTP can tell a story from their past, and they bring back details down to the color and fabric of someone’s shirt. While ESTPs can often remember these details, they sometimes struggle when it comes to being on time for things. This isn’t necessarily because the ESTP forgets, they simply lose track of time.

ISFP

ISFPs like to live in the present moment, and because of this they can become easily distracted. The fact that ISFPs bounce from one thing to the next rather quickly, can make them appear somewhat forgetful. They don’t mean to lose track of information, their minds just become so drawn to different things in the present moment. They have such unique inner minds, which lead the ISFP to drawing towards different and exciting adventures.

ESFP

ESFPs have interesting and somewhat selective memories. They can recall details from their past with what seems like extreme accuracy. ESFPs will be somewhat forgetful when it comes to information that they don’t see as important. They also have a hard time retaining things that are expressed to them while they are distracted. ESFPs often bounce from one thing to the next rather quickly, and can lose track of what they were doing. This can make it difficult for the ESFP to remember certain things, so they can be somewhat forgetful.
