INFP In Bed: What the INFPs Sexual Energy is Like

Sex and sexuality are certainly important parts of being human for most people, and so it is something which can help us understand one another better as well. Whether this be exploring your own sexual desires or understanding your partner on a deeper level, there are certain things which each personality type is more likely to connect with or feel. For some people the idea of casual sex is often unnerving and unpleasant, while for others it can be a great way of self-exploration. Sometimes these specific wants or behaviors can be connected to personality type, while there are also many aspects which aren’t.

INFPs might not always be the most open about their sexual side, since they don’t always feel like sharing with people unless they feel comfortable with them. At the same time INFPs are rarely as shy as people think they are, they simply reserve sharing themselves for people who they feel are worthy of this. For them it is important to dive into their own feelings and figure out what they want and desire, and so INFPs can often be more open than people might realize. They need to take time to find out who they are, and their own sexual energy and wants are certainly part of this process.

INFP Sexual Energy

For the INFP sex is rarely just about the act, and is about being able to connect with someone on a deeper level. Most INFPs are passionate lovers, who enjoy being able to make the experience about something much more meaningful and inspiring. They can appear rather intense when it comes to sex, especially with the right person. While most people might view them as shy or even timid from an outside view, this is very different from how the INFP actually is on the inside. They simply take some time to warm up to people before they feel safe expressing themselves and sharing who they are. INFPs aren’t necessarily shy, it is more about saving these pieces of their soul for the ones who value what they see and want to make a real connection with them. They take their time to be sure this person’s energy and spirit matches their own in a way which will be rewarding and inspiring for them.

When the INFP does open up and trust someone they can be extremely passionate people, especially when it comes to sex. They often want to take their time with their partner, wanting to make them feel connected and alive in new and exciting ways. INFPs are not complacent people when it comes to sex, and often enjoy being able to experience new things with someone they trust. They often have a creative side and this translates to sex as well, they want to be able to go on a journey with someone and really open themselves up to the moment. They are willing to experience new and fun things with the right person, wanting to really make the time together enriching. For the INFP it becomes like no one else exists, and they want to shut out the world and be one with that person.

INFP Sexual Intimacy

INFPs often see sex as an opportunity to truly bond and connect with someone, and so intimacy is important for them. This is part of what makes the INFP so passionate when it comes to sex, as they want to feel like it is about the connection and not just the act. They want to shut out the world and feel close to that special person, without interruptions or distractions. INFPs do care about being intimate with someone when it comes to sex, and rarely do they find themselves pleased when they don’t feel that. Being that they are someone who is tuned into their own emotions, feeling a sense of intimacy is really vital for them. Their emotions play a role when it comes to sex, but this can definitely make the experience rather intense for themselves and tehir partners. It isn’t just about the end result, instead it is about feeling every moment and being present with that person. INFPs are rarely afraid of being open and expressive when it comes to sex, so long as it is with someone they trust.

INFP & Casual Sex

INFPs are rarely fulfilled by casual sex, and it doesn’t reach that level of intimacy they value and desire. They might try this when they are younger, wanting to experience it or just feeling like they need to test the waters a bit. INFPs are curious people and so sometimes they want to push themselves outside of their comfort zone for the sake of the experience. Most cases they don’t really find casual sex all that rewarding, as it leaves them feeling as if they are missing something. They don’t want to just give themselves to another person who cannot fully appreciate them, and rarely end up feeling like it was the best choice for them. INFPs are often open-minded people though, and they don’t judge others for wanting to experience this. They often support their loved ones desires and want them to feel like they can talk about anything with them. This doesn’t mean that it becomes anymore rewarding for the INFP though, and in most cases truly casual sex doesn’t make them feel very satisfied.

This doesn’t mean that every sexual encounter has to be with the person they are going to spend their lives with, but the INFP needs some sort of connection to that person. They just want to be able to trust that person and have something beyond a shallow bond with them. They want to know who that individual is in order to be totally intimate and close with them in a way which is satisfying. For the INFP it truly is about the connection and what goes on beyond the surface.
