Here’s What Each Personality Type Looks Like When They’ve Reached Maturity

When someone has learned to grow as a person and has reached a certain level of maturity, they have usually developed their weaker functions. This person has learned to use their strengths, and to grow their weaknesses. An important factor to remember is that not everyone simply matures with age, this is something that takes personal growth and self-realization to achieve. Here is what each personality type looks like when they have matured their weaker functions.

INFJs when they are young often struggle with understanding their own needs, and become far too conscious of the needs of others. When the INFJ has matured they come to realize that they need to consider their own feelings as well. The mature INFJ will begin to make themselves a priority and will spend time trying to understand themselves and their own needs. When the INFJ has reached this level of maturity in their lives, they become a very well rounded and understanding person. They are capable of combining their giving nature, with an awareness of their own importance as well.

ENFJs are loving and giving people, who are constantly focused on helping and caring for their loved ones. When the ENFJ has not grown and matured, they will often overexert themselves and neglect their own needs. When the ENFJ has allowed themselves to grow in life, they will begin to understand the importance of their own needs. The ENFJ will realize that they do matter, and that they cannot help others if they do not help themselves. The mature ENFJ will also begin to understand that they cannot help everyone, and will learn to give people more space. This makes for an excellently loving and well-adjusted individual.

INFPs are naturally caring people, with intense imaginations. When the INFP has grown and matured they develop a more forgiving attitude towards people who do not share their moral code. INFPs have very strong internal values, which can make it difficult for them to be around people who do not share those views. When the INFP develops their weaker functions they learn to understand that it is perfectly acceptable for people to disagree with them, and that it does not make them a bad person. The matured INFP has spent time under the weight of their own emotions, and has learned not to let it crush them.

ENFPs are charismatic and enthusiastic people, who enjoy being able to explore new things in life. The ENFP who has matured has learned to combine their desire for excitement, with a sense of calm as well. They realize that not everything has to be new, and have developed a sense of comfort in being grounded in some ways. This ENFP keeps their sense of wonder and adventure, but has learned to plant their feet when it truly matters. The mature ENFP has also come to recognize when they are pushing others too far, and knows when to take a step back and be more sensitive to the emotions of others. The developed ENFP is a wonderfully warm and giving person, with an exciting personality.

INTJs are naturally very logical people, who enjoy removing ignorance whenever they can. The INTJ who has matured and allowed for plenty of inward growth, is definitely an impressive person to behold. Not only are they intelligent and logical people, they have also come to accept the presence of their own emotions. This INTJ has learned to pay attention to their own feelings, and to recognize them when they arise. Instead of burying their emotions they have found ways to understand and process what they are feeling. This helps the INTJ be even more understanding of others and various situations that occur.

ENTJs are strong-willed and driven people, who are constantly striving to understand the world around them. The ENTJ who has learned to grow and develop their weaker functions, has become sensitive to others in a much more open way. This ENTJ has learned to accept the presence of their own emotions, which has allowed them to accept emotions in others as well. They will always favor logic, but are even more capable of making informed decisions without allowing their emotions to surprise them. They have learned when to take a step back, and are not always focused on pushing people to be more efficient.

INTPs are naturally very focused on logic and reasoning, and enjoy spending long periods of time exploring new ideas. The INTP who has learned to develop their weaker functions, has become much more in touch with the emotions of others. They have learned to combat their desire for precision, with a consideration for how it might affect other people. This version of the INTP has learned that while their logical minds are wonderful things, they are capable of delivering their information in much more tactful ways. They have learned not to compromise who they are, but still find ways to be sensitive to the needs of others.

ENTPs are outgoing and enthusiastic people, who constantly hunger for change and possibilities. The ENTP who has developed their weaker functions also understands the importance of stability in their lives. They have learned how to balance their desire for exploration, with a sense of comfort in things they already know. They still don’t enjoy being held back, but realize that not every solid choice is going to limit them in life. This version of the ENTP is no longer fearful of commitment, because they realize there are also things to be explored in those options. They have also learned to become much more sensitive to the emotions of others, and know when certain people simply aren’t up for a debate.

ISTJs are naturally hardworking and focused people, who enjoy having things a certain way. When the ISTJ has learned to develop their weaker functions, they have come to step outside of their comfort zone more often. This version of the ISTJ knows where they can take chances, without risking their happy lifestyle. They enjoy trying new things when they can, and aren’t constantly stuck in a routine. They will always enjoy having a certain routine, especially when it comes to work, but this ISTJ knows when to let loose a little. They also have come to connect with their own emotions, and no longer buries the things that are bothering them.

ESTJs who have learned to develop their weaker functions have learned to get in touch with their own emotions much more. They realize that feelings need to be processed in order to move forward, and that those things do not make them weak at all. The ESTJ has grown comfortable with processing their emotions, and because of this they have become more sensitive to the feelings of other people. This mature ESTJ also knows when to relax, and is not constantly stressed about getting things done and sticking to their routine. These things will always be important to them, but they have learned a healthy level of balance.

ISFJs who have learned to develop and grow as a person, has become more capable of breaking out of their routine. They are less fearful of making mistakes, and understand that no one can be perfect. This mature ISFJ still enjoys their routine, but has also come to take chances and explore new ideas without becoming fearful of the result. The ISFJ that has matured also realizes the important of their own needs, and no longer continues to neglect themselves. They have learned to spend plenty of time by themselves, recharging their batteries and doing the things they want to do.

ESFJs who have learned to strengthen their weaknesses, become much more in touch with their own emotions. Instead of burying their feelings for the sake of others, they realize that they need to be heard. The mature ESFJ has made themselves a priority, and knows when to go after what they want in life. They still remain giving and focused on the needs of others, but they know where to make the compromise. This ESFJ also knows how to step outside of their comfort zone, and is not constantly afraid of making mistakes and being imperfect.

ISTPs who have grown and matured, are much more comfortable with emotions. Instead of burying their feelings, the ISTP has tried to process them when they can. They have also become more sensitive to others, and are tactful when they often want to be precise. Instead of being solely focused on logic, the ISTP knows when to maintain a healthy balance for the sake of their relationships. They are still logical people, and remain focused on learning and understanding- they simply do not need to neglect their relationships in order to do so.

The ESTP who has matured, no longer has a desire to constantly seek out newness. They are still adventurous people, who need to try new things and new experiences, they simply do not need to be reckless any longer. The mature ESTP has learned to explore possibilities, without possibly destroying their lives in the process. They have learned to find things that ignite their passion, without jumping into them headfirst without reason. This ESTP has become more conscious of their intuition, and has learned how to trust their gut instead of their whims.

The mature ISFP has learned to let their emotions be their guide, without letting them control them. They understand that although their feelings are extremely important, they do not need to force them down paths that aren’t good for the ISFP in the long run. They will still take notice of their feelings, but they also combine this with logic and facts before moving forward. This ISFP still enjoy soaking up their surroundings, but they no longer jump to conclusions without first looking into the information in front of them.

ESFPs are adventurous and fun people, but this can sometimes get them into trouble. The ESFP who has matured has learned to take a step back, and focus on their responsibilities. They have developed a sense of balance in their lives, and know when it is okay to let loose and when they need to take a step back. This ESFP is still fun and exciting, but they also leave room for getting important tasks done. They no longer jump into situation without first processing their surroundings and thinking about the future outcome.
