Here’s How Charitable You Can Be, Based on Your Personality Type

Having a naturally charitable nature can be a truly wonderful thing, but not everyone possesses these qualities in abundance. Some people are more reserved and frugal when it comes to their sense of giving, while others give freely. Here is how charitable you can be, based on your personality type.

INFJs are often very charitable individuals, especially when it comes to the people they make a connection with. When the INFJ cares for someone they often give freely without needing anything in return. They simply want to know that their efforts are appreciated, and that they have made someone happy. INFJs can easily feel empathy for someone in pain, and will want to do what they can to help. The INFJ who is capable of giving will definitely be a very charitable person, often even when they don’t have much to give.

ENFJs are often charitable people, since giving is very much in their nature. They do whatever they can to help others and want to make their lives easier if they can. ENFJs are usually very charitable people, and will try their best to help in whatever way they can do so. They often do this out of the kindness of their hearts, and don’t expect something in return. ENFJs might even enjoy volunteering their time or finances in an attempt to help people who are truly in need.

INFPs can definitely be charitable people, since they have a desire to make a difference in the world. They might be somewhat choosey about who they want to give to, but this is simply because they want their efforts to actually help. INFPs often enjoy being charitable, especially when they have the opportunity and the means to do so. For them it can be hard to pull out of their own inner world, but when they see suffering the INFP wants to do what they can to help.

ENFPs can be surprisingly charitable people, often more than others realize. Usually when someone is in need and asks the ENFP for help, they have a hard time turning them down. They don’t like seeing people suffering and most of the time money means very little to them. ENFPs simply want to make a difference where they can, and will certainly do their best to lend a hand to someone who they feel truly deserves their assistance and their giving nature.

INTJs aren’t always seen as charitable people, but they do have a giving side when it feels right. INTJs don’t like stepping all of the time to lift people up, and this is because they believe that people need to learn to help themselves. That doesn’t mean they aren’t willing to help others when it is clear they do not have the opportunity or means to take care of themselves. INTJs also believe in doing what they can to educate people and show them how to improve their situation in life.

While ENTJs can be very driven and assertive people, they do have a charitable side. While they might not feel the need to constantly pick people up when they have fallen, they will do so if it feels right. ENTJs do believe in helping others when they have to means to do so, especially when they feel truly sympathetic towards them. They aren’t heartless people just because they lack an ability to express themselves. Contrary to what people believe the ENTJ can actually be very giving and charitable when they believe they should be.

INTPs do have a giving side, but they are more charitable towards people very close to them. They might not want to focus too much on aiding people who they do not know, since they can easily feel used in this situation. INTPs just want to be sure they are helping the right people and they want to know that their time and efforts are being spent properly. INTPs are more likely to be charitable towards someone they care for, but that doesn’t mean they won’t do what they can to make a difference for others as well.

ENTPs might not always be the most charitable people when it comes to strangers, but that doesn’t mean they won’t help when it seems right. ENTPs are more giving towards the people close to them, since they don’t like wasting energy on people who will not appreciate it. ENTPs do care deeply for others, but they can be rather particular about how they show this. They would rather focus on taking care of their own business, and believe in giving others their independence.

ISTJs can be charitable people at times, but they can also be reserved with how much they give. They do want to help those in need, but they often do this when they have more than enough means to do so. ISTJs prioritize the needs of their family and want to be sure that they are upholding their duty to provide for them and their well-being. When the ISTJ does have the chance to help someone, then their charitable nature can certainly come out.

ESTJs are very focused on providing for their family, and so they don’t want to jeopardize this in any way. For them being charitable often depends on their current situation and even their mood. If the ESTJ feels like they can be giving to people in need, they will want to be sure that the person in question is entirely deserving of their charity. If they feel the person will benefit from their help, then the ESTJ is often happy to do what they can.

ISFJs are usually very charitable people, who strive to make people happy. They enjoy helping others whenever they can, and are often rather giving. ISFJs often prioritize the needs of their loved ones, but they do want to help strangers as well. They will do their best to be charitable towards those in need, especially if they have the means to do so. ISFJs are caring people, who feel a strong sense of empathy towards other people.

ESFJs are often very charitable people, since they strive to make others happy. They become truly saddened when they witness suffering and often want to do what they can to help. There are times when the ESFJ might be extremely charitable towards others, and they will strive to help them in any ways they can. ESFJs can even be giving towards strangers, even though they will prioritize the needs of the people closest to them. They simply seek to help and to please others, and are happiest when they can accomplish this.

Many ISTPs are charitable when they feel it is the right thing to do, since they don’t want to simply step in and rescue everyone. They believe in being independent and often feel that most people need to learn to help themselves. ISTPs might even feel like the best way to help someone is to educate them, and give them advice which can truly improve their lives in a beneficial manner.

ESTPs can be charitable towards their loved ones, and even friends, but sometimes struggle when it comes to giving to strangers. They can have a hard time rationalizing this, feeling like they don’t know if that person is truly deserving. While they do care for others, ESTPs can be rather factual when they decide whether or not to be charitable. Instead of just openly giving to others, they would rather be sure they are actually helping someone who is deserving of it.

ISFPs can have a charitable side, but this entirely depends on their current emotional state. They can become easily distracted by things, focusing on living in the moment and enjoying their surroundings. When they do feel truly touched by someone, the ISFP will want to do whatever they can to help. They might not always be able to be charitable in a more financial manner, but they will do what they can to help and make a difference.

ESFPs can often be very charitable people, sometimes giving more than they have. While they have moments where they can appear selfish, focusing on acquiring the things they personally desire, the ESFP can also be charitable. This is something most people might not see or recognize about the ESFP, since they can appear like the fun party animal of the group. ESFPs can also be very giving, especially if their heart strings are being pulled at.
