Here’s How Important Being Healthy is to You, Based on Your Personality Type

For some making sure they take care of their own physical health is very important, to others it can be challenging. Here is what being healthy means to you, based on your personality type.

INFJ

INFJs do believe that being healthy is important but they often have a hard time keeping up with certain things. INFJs can become so caught up in their own inner minds that they have a hard time focusing on the world around then. They can struggle to pay attention to their physical needs sometimes, and might allow some things to decline. INFJs might even dislike going to the doctor for check-ups, at least for their physical health. While the INFJ might struggle for a while they will eventually make time for their health, before things go too far.

ENFJ

ENFJs can be so focused on taking care of others that they might have a hard time remembering to take care of themselves. This can make tending to their physical needs a bit challenging at times. ENFJs might neglect their own health for a while, since they become far too busy taking care of everyone else. ENFJs do want to take care of their own physical health and believe that being healthy is very important. They simply become so easily distracted and really need to be given the time to tend to their own needs instead of always focusing on everyone else.

INFP

INFPs can have a hard time focusing on their physical health, but they do believe in focusing on their mental health. They often have a hard time actually going to the doctor, and might put off making those appointments. They simply struggle when it comes to prioritizing their physical health, simply because they become distracted fairly easy. INFPs can become caught up in their own inner worlds and this makes it difficult for them to focus on being healthy.

ENFP

ENFPs can sometimes be reckless with their health, and might bounce back and forth from being healthy to being a bit unhealthy. They don’t always focus on taking care of themselves when it comes to their health, and can sometimes be more interested in diving into something that seems exciting. ENFPs enjoy being able to do whatever they please and there are certain rules to being healthy that they often want to break. While they can sometimes be this way, ENFPs might go through phases of obsessing over taking care of themselves after going a long time without it.

INTJ

INTJs often do believe that being healthy is important, especially since they likely spend time researching different ways to be healthier. INTJs are very informed people and because of this they understand how important being healthy is. They want to take care of their physical selves, but sometimes they can become caught up in their own inner worlds. INTJs might try to focus on tending to their physical health but become distracted by something that feels much more interesting for them.

ENTJ

ENTJs do believe that their physical health is important and will work hard to maintain this. ENTJs try to schedule their appointments on time and keep any important checkups. They know how to keep up with certain things in their lives and can often become obsessed with researching any updates on how to be even healthier. ENTJs understand that in order to accomplish their goals in life they do need to make sure they are as healthy as possible.

INTP

INTPs do believe in being healthy since they often research its importance and just about anything to do with physical health. While they believe it is important, INTPs can have a hard time keeping up with their health in some ways. They can become distracted and caught up inside of their own thoughts for too long to really pay attention to their physical surroundings. INTPs might not even recognize that they aren’t feeling well until it causes them to panic a bit. They can sometimes go from neglecting themselves, to becoming a bit obsessive about tending to their own health.

ENTP

ENTPs realize the importance of tending to their own health, they just don’t always do a great job at it. For the ENTP it can become truly easy to find themselves distracted by their own thoughts or something that is more appealing to them. Their minds can be drawn from one thing to the next, causing the ENTP to forget or even intentionally neglect their own health needs. They might find themselves diving into some new health fad from time to time though, and will take care of things when they absolutely have to.

ISTJ

ISTJs definitely do value being healthy, and will do their best to keep up with their physical and mental health. ISTJs will definitely be good at keeping up with appointments and making sure they attend checkups when they should. ISTJs often do this because they realize it is an important and basic part of life and taking care of themselves, as well as taking care of others.

ESTJ

ESTJs believe that it is important to tend to their health, which is why they will definitely make appointments when they have to. While ESTJs believe that being healthy is important, they do still struggle with it from time to time. They are focused on getting things done and sometimes they might want to appear strong in the eyes of others. ESTJs don’t want to seem weak or as if they need to constantly see a doctor, so sometimes they will neglect more serious issues because of this.

ISFJ

ISFJs do believe in being healthy and will do their best to follow certain rules and guidelines. They don’t like being reckless with their health because they realize how important it is. ISFJs also focus on making sure their loved ones are healthy, and can be a bit obsessive over this at times. They care about others and want to ensure that they are healthy and provided for. ISFJs do also believe in taking care of their own health, even though sometimes they can neglect smaller things.

ESFJ

ESFJs realize that being healthy is very important, but there are times when they can neglect themselves. They can become so focused on taking care of their loved ones that the ESFJ forgets to take care of their own needs both mentally and physically. They might struggle to make certain appointments, making excuses that they should be taking care of something else. Eventually the ESFJ will come to their senses and make sure they get back to being healthy, it can just become difficult for them at times.

ISTP

ISTPs understand that being healthy is important, and are often very connected to their physical self. ISTPs often enjoy being in good shape and like being able to keep up with their health in some ways. They are very connected to their physical surroundings and this helps them maintain certain important health factors. While they do believe in being healthy, ISTPs can also be a little reckless at times. They are rarely health nuts but they do know how to maintain a certain level of physical well-being.

ESTP

ESTPs are often connected to the physical world around them which can help them be healthy in some ways. ESTPs often enjoy being in good shape, and might be interested in exercising in some ways that are fun and exciting for them. While they can be good at getting into shape, ESTPs can also be a bit reckless at times. They live in the present moment and occasionally can be a bit interested in unhealthy foods, especially if it feels good in the moment.

ISFP

ISFPs can sometimes enjoy being healthy and eating in a way that is good for them. They are often connected to their physical self, which helps them realize how important it is to maintain their health. ISFPs do live in the present and aren’t afraid of being a little reckless at times, and don’t like obsessing over their health. They are often good at maintaining balance when it comes to tending to their own health, and believe in trying to be healthy when they can.

ESFP

ESFPs sometimes become obsessive about being healthy, but then jump back to being a bit reckless. They simply enjoy soaking up the present and sometimes this causes them to be unhealthy for a little while. The ESFP might take part in eating unhealthy foods, simply because it is something they enjoy in that moment. ESFPs don’t like being held back by certain rules, and want to feel free to truly experience life to the fullest.
