Some people are naturally good at planning things out and surprising others with something special. While for others the process of having to set this up can be a bit draining and doesn’t happen often for them. Here is how good you are at planning surprises, based on your personality type.
INFJs do enjoy planning special things for their loved ones, the only trouble is that they might not find it easy to keep the secret for a long time. They are good at keeping important secrets, but when they are supposed to maintain a surprise for someone they might struggle. They just get excited wanting to tell this person about the plans, wanting to make them feel special sooner rather than later. They want to be able to plan something exciting and are often good at coming up with details for the ones they love.
ENFJs do enjoy planning surprises for others, and like making them feel special. For the ENFJ it is exciting to be able to plan something for the ones they love and find a way to make them happy. They focus so much on tending to the needs of others and can often go above and beyond with this. For the ENFJ planning a special surprise is often something they are great at, since they pay close attention to their loved ones and the people in their lives.
INFPs might have a hard time when it comes to planning out the more mundane aspects of a surprise. INFPs might not be planners but they really do enjoy surprising others with exciting things. They are good with coming up with something creative which will be exciting and fun for the person they are surprising. INFPs are often more spontaneous with their surprises though, and prefer doing things last minute in a more spur of the moment manner.
ENFPs do know how to come up with creative ways to surprise the people they love. They might not be great at planning surprises though, since they become distracted. ENFPs don’t really like the more mundane things in life and so having to keep organized is draining for them. When it comes to surprising people they enjoy finding unique ways to really excite the people they love and want to make them feel really special.
INTJs don’t really like surprises most of the time, since they prefer to prepare for things. They would rather do something nice for their loved ones in a more thought out and conscious manner. Having to surprise them can seem unnecessary, since letting them know upfront can be just as enjoyable. Since they prefer to know things themselves, they don’t want to surprise someone and have them become upset because of this.
ENTJs often prefer to ask people what they want, rather than to surprise them with something they might not thrilled about. For the ENTJ this can seem unnecessary for adults, since they do prefer to have things planned themselves. They can plan out something truly special for their loved ones, but they often want to be sure that this is something they really want. They prefer to be sure that their plans will work out, and so they want to know that their loved ones will be happy with the results. While they can keep some aspects a secret, they often want to ask what this person wants so that they can ensure they will be happy with what they provide for them.
ESTJs aren’t usually the ones to plan surprises, instead they prefer to just provide for the ones they love. They want to provide for their practical needs and ensure that they are always taken care of. For the ESTJ it is important to be supportive and helpful towards their loved ones, but they aren’t often fans of surprises. They would rather be sure they are giving them something they want, rather than guessing.
ISFJs do enjoy being able to plan surprises for their loved ones, since they want to make them happy. They enjoy making these people feel special and so they try their best to maintain the surprise. ISFJs are great at planning things and putting things together, their greatest struggle is just being able to keep the surprise a secret if they have to wait a while. This is simply because they are excited to see this person happy, and might be bursting at the seams to tell them.

They can become a bit anxious waiting for the end results, really just wanting to see that person happy.
