Here’s What Self-Care Means for You, Based on Your Personality Type

We all know that true self-care is an important part of maintaining a healthy balance in life. Without properly taking care of their physical and mental health, we become much less efficient and capable of meeting out full potential. While self-care is important for everyone, it looks different for each person. Here is what self-care means for you, based on your personality type.

INFJ

For the INFJ self-care means being okay with imperfections, and learning to accept themselves for who they are. It also means taking time for themselves to reflect, without feeling guilty for this. INFJs need plenty of alone time in order to truly make sense of themselves and the world around them. They need to take this time on their own in order to recharge and process all of the information they take in. For the INFJ self-care also means connecting with people they love and who understand them on a deeper level. They need to be able to take care of themselves and learn to not feel guilty for this, which is something the INFJ can understand with time.

ENFJ

For ENFJs self-care often means taking time to consider their own needs and desires. Their focus on others can cause them to neglect themselves and this is definitely a major issue. The ENFJ who doesn’t take time for themselves will become overwhelmed and exhausted, and over time this wears on them. Self-care for the ENFJ often means doing something they love, in the presence of their favorite people. Taking guilt free time to focus on their own needs and just enjoy some relaxation is definitely important self-care for the ENFJ. They often need to be with someone they care for to truly soak up the atmosphere and feel relaxed.

INFP

INFPs can become caught up in their own rich inner minds, but sometimes this causes them to neglect themselves in some ways. While introspection and time inside of their own thoughts is vital for the INFP, they also need to make sure to take time to tend to their physical needs as well. For the INFP self-care means balancing tending to their own mental health as well as their physical well-being.

ENFP

They sometimes need to ask for help, even though this is challenging for them. In order to be able to truly feel like themselves the ENFP needs to have some alone time, but also needs to experience something new with the people they love. Being around those who love and appreciate the ENFP is rewarding and fulfilling for them in many ways. They feed off of this positive energy and feel more like the best version of themselves once again.
