Enneagram 728 Tritype

The Enneagram 728 Tritype, often referred to as “The Messenger” or “The Professional,” is a combination of types 7, 2, and 8.

Type 7, The Enthusiast, brings an element of enthusiasm, spontaneity, and the desire for varied experiences. These individuals are generally optimistic and adventurous, they strive to avoid pain and stay engaged with exciting experiences.

Type 2, The Helper, brings a characteristic of being attentive to others’ needs and a desire to be loved. They often express their feelings openly and are driven by their feelings of affection toward others, sometimes risking completely forgetting about themselves.

Type 8, The Challenger, contributes a strong desire for control and self-sufficiency. Type 8 individuals normally possess great inner strength, they are self-confident, assertive, and protective, but can also be domineering and confrontational.

When combined into the 728 Tritype, these individuals tend to be highly energetic, engaging, and protective. They are driven by their desires for personal freedom, loving connections, and maintaining control over their environment. They are usually quite outgoing, generous, and assertive. However, they may struggle with acknowledging their own vulnerabilities, and can be impulsive or overly dominant in their relationships. Despite their potential struggles, they fundamentally wish to be happy, to care for others, and to challenge what hinders freedom or justice.
