Do You Appreciate the Little Things in Life, Based on Your Personality Type
It is truly important to appreciate the little things in life, but this isn’t something that everyone is capable of doing easily. Being able to appreciate the smaller things and finding joy in those things, is something which takes a more positive outlook and really isn’t a simple things. Here is how easily you can appreciate the little things, based on your personality type.
INFJ
INFJs try to find ways to appreciate the little things in life, but they can sometimes become weighed down by their bigger picture mentality. While some of the little things might be going well, they often see down the line and where things might turn towards something more unpleasant. INFJs have a hard time taking a step back and just enjoying the little things because they become so focused on this big picture and how their lives are as a whole, as well as the world around them.
ENFJ
ENFJs try their best to soak up joy where they can, wanting to be able to appreciate the little things. While this is something they desire it isn’t always that simple, since ENFJs can become rather focused on the big picture in life. They find themselves looking at things as a broader sense, wanting to be able to navigate towards the future they want. While some of the little things in their lives might be great, they can sometimes forget to appreciate this because the bigger picture becomes more important to them.
INFP
INFPs really try to appreciate the little things but their minds often become focused on the bigger picture. They can see all of the various patterns around them and so sometimes these different potential paths and outcomes can be overwhelming for them. INFPs can also become so caught up inside of their inner thoughts that they struggle to appreciate the little things in the present moment. They are often more drawn to their imaginations and the future, and so they don’t always find it easy to appreciate the simple things in life.
ENFP
ENFPs are often more focused on the big picture when it comes to choices and their lives, but this doesn’t mean they are incapable of enjoying the little things as well. They often try to appreciate things which bring them a sense of joy, and focus on these types of activities. ENFPs don’t like dwelling on anything negative and really do search for ways to appreciate the little things. While this is something they desire, it can sometimes be challenging for them because their minds become so focused on analyzing things around them.
INTJ
INTJs don’t really feel this inner need to appreciate every moment or all of the little things. They do tend to focus on the bigger picture and want to work towards accomplishing their goals. INTJs are factual people which means looking at all of the details but also seeing where these facts will lead. They want to pick up accurate information and work towards predicting future outcomes with all of these details and pieces of information they have uncovered.
ENTJ
ENTJs believe in looking at things as a whole and not just focusing on the smaller details. Their minds are often running through all of the information and working towards ways to be efficient in their daily lives. Because of this ENTJs do sometimes when it comes to appreciating the little things in life. ENTJs are very much focused on working towards their goals and they can be somewhat zoned in on these goals. Sometimes their desire to get things done right can hold them back from actually appreciating the little things in life.
INTP
INTPs do sometimes struggle to appreciate the little things, often focusing too much on the bigger picture and the different patterns around them. While they do look at all of the facts and different pieces of information, that doesn’t mean they are good at appreciating the little things. INTPs can become so caught up in analyzing and looking at potential outcomes, that they forget to live in the present and enjoy the positive things around them.
ENTP
ENTPs do sometimes struggle to appreciate the little things because they become so focused on analyzing and uncovering information. They bounce around to new ideas and new projects and sometimes staying still is difficult for them. Because ENTPs are always wandering into new directions, they can sometimes fail to appreciate the little things right in front of them. They are always trying to move forward and their minds are truly busy places, making it difficult for them to appreciate the present.
ISTJ
ISTJs are often very focused on getting things done and building a future they want. This doesn’t mean they are incapable of appreciating the little things though, since they often find joy in the simpler things in life. ISTJs do enjoy the little things, and want to be able to appreciate the moments in between working hard. They take pride in their accomplishments and in their loved ones, and so they are more capable of appreciating little things or simple things in life.
ESTJ
ESTJs can sometimes become overly focused on working hard and getting things done, and so it becomes difficult for them to appreciate these little things. They can be somewhat high strung and have a hard time finding ways to really relax when they are focused on something. They are very goal-oriented people who want to continue to push towards accomplishing their goals and wants in life. Because of this they sometimes struggle to take the moment to appreciate these little things, but when they do get downtime they enjoy focusing on their accomplishments.
ISFJ
ISFJs do enjoy focusing on the little things but sometimes they can become too caught up on taking care of everyone else. ISFJs want to be able to appreciate when things go right and when they have their loved ones around them and all happy. They focus so much on tending to the needs of others that they don’t always get the time they need to themselves in order to take joy in these little things in life.
ESFJ
ESFJs really do appreciate and care about the little things in life, but sometimes they can become so caught up on caring for others that they miss out. ESFJs want to be capable of juggling things so that they can provide for their loved ones and make them happy. This can get them so caught up on moving forward and taking care of these tasks, that they forget to stop and appreciate the little things which would normally bring them a sense of personal joy.
ISTP
ISTPs do want to appreciate the little things in life, and believe in soaking up the things around them. ISTPs are very focused on living in the present moment and enjoy soaking up the things around them. They don’t like to become so caught up on the big picture that they don’t take time to find joy and excitement in the moment. ISTPs are good at finding a sense of pleasure in these little things and small moments.
ESTP
ESTPs do believe in enjoying the little things and in appreciating these moments which bring them a sense of excitement and joy. ESTPs live their lives in the present moment and want to be able to really enjoy themselves. They don’t want to become so caught up on the future that they lose sight of the positive things they have around them. ESTPs don’t like feeling stagnant and are always seeking things which will make them happy and thrill them.
ISFP
ISFPs definitely know how to appreciate the little things in life, wanting to be able to soak up the moment. They don’t want to become caught up in the future and their fears to the point where it prevents them from appreciating what they do have. ISFPs often have a way of remaining positive and want to focus on the things which bring them a sense of joy. They definitely can appreciate the little things, and seek to uncover what will inspire them most.
ESFP
ESFPs certainly know how to appreciate the little things in life and don’t want to feel weighed down by the future. They live in the present moment and want to feel free to soak up the joy around them. ESFPs don’t want to become so distracted by planning things out that they forget to enjoy the moments they are actually living in. For the ESFP being able to appreciate the little things is an important part of what makes them such positive people.
