While some people are naturally friendly, others try their best to avoid social interaction. Here is how friendly you are, based on your personality type.
INFJs are generally friendly people, and know how to force a smile when they must. They enjoy speaking to certain people, but they do become drained rather quickly. INFJs can be seen as friendly and sociable, but on the inside they might feel overwhelmed and exhausted. They are often skilled at masking parts of themselves, and can be very good at putting on a good face in front of others. INFJs are friendly people but some days they just don’t feel up for socializing. During those times they can be seen as distant and even distracted. When it comes to INFJs it entirely depends on the day and the mood you catch them in.
ENFJs are extremely social and friendly people, who enjoy interacting with others. They are often very outgoing and are great at making new friends. The way that ENFJs present themselves often lends them to being viewed as warm and charismatic. People enjoy being around ENFJs, because of their compassionate and friendly nature. They actually want to spend time with others, and do best when they have friends and loved ones around them.
INFPs are complex people, which means they can sometimes be friendly while other times they are completely withdrawn. When the INFP wants to be sociable they can often force themselves, especially if they are around people they truly like. They are often very funny people, who know how to entertain others. INFPs simply require plenty of alone time, and need to be able to prioritize this. When they are in need of space, they will be perceived as much less friendly and maybe a little bit withdrawn.
ENFPs are very friendly people, and are seen as charismatic and outgoing. They enjoy being social, especially if they are in the right mood for it. While some people can become shy and withdrawn, ENFPs are usually energetic and enthusiastic. They enjoy getting to know new people and sincerely love being able to make friends. ENFPs do have days when they are feeling a bit drained though, and need to retreat and spend time by themselves. While they are extraverts, they have very rich inner minds which sometimes means they need time to think and process.
INTJs are certainly capable of being sociable, but they aren’t necessarily friendly. They know how to put on an outgoing face in order to get along with people, but they don’t always want to do this. In most cases INTJs would rather keep to themselves, and prefer only to be around people they deeply enjoy and care for. INTJs aren’t really friendly people most of the time, since they prefer to keep their distance from most strangers. This does not make them anti-social, just very specific about who they want to socialize with.
ENTJs can be very friendly people, simply because they are outgoing and charismatic. They enjoy being able to make new connections, especially if it can help them progress with their careers. ENTJs are open to new friendships, but they are particular about who they truly let in. They would prefer loyalty over having a bunch of friends they cannot trust. ENTJs can put on a friendly face, but oftentimes they can be annoyed with the behavior of others, since they might view most people as a bit ignorant.
INTPs are not generally seen as friendly people, simply because they prefer to keep to themselves. They can seem a bit withdrawn when they are hoping to avoid conversations with people. When INTPs are feeling social they are definitely capable of putting on a friendly demeanor. They are friendly and even kind towards the people who are closest to them, which is why they are often viewed differently by strangers. INTPs simply need a lot of time to themselves, and dislike feeling overwhelmed by the demand of social interaction.
ENTPs are definitely friendly people, who enjoy different social interactions. ENTPs want to explore different things in life, and are open to making new friends. They dislike being stuck in the same place for too long, and are always wanting to venture out of their comfort zone. ENTPs can sometimes be a bit argumentative and challenging, but they are also capable of being friendly and charismatic. They have great senses of humor, and enjoy being able to make people laugh and join in on the fun.
ISTJs are respectful and dutiful people, who are capable of being cordial and social with others. They will definitely be able to hold a conversation with new friends, but they aren’t always eager to socialize. ISTJs need plenty of time by themselves, and can easily become irritated by too much social interaction. They do however understand that sometimes they need to appear outgoing in order to move forward in their careers. ISTJs are capable of making friends and being sociable, they just don’t always want to.
ESTJs are social and outgoing people, who enjoy being able to make new friends. They can be a bit aggressive, but at the same time they are friendly people. For ESTJs it entirely depends on their current mood and life situation. If they are in a great mood they will often be friendly with everyone they meet, and will enjoy being able to make new friends. If the ESTJ has had a rough day and is feeling overwhelmed, they will be seen as utterly unfriendly to strangers.
ISFJs are kind and friendly people, who enjoy being sociable. They do need plenty of time by themselves in order to recharge, but at the same time they enjoy being able to get along with others. They are often very friendly and warm towards coworkers and strangers that they meet during their day. ISFJs might not be overly outgoing, but they will offer a welcoming smile and a few nice words in order to comfort others.
ESFJs are usually very friendly people, who enjoy being able to make new friends. They are outgoing and often popular people, especially when they are trying to impress others. ESFJs care deeply for their loved ones though, and mostly concerned with doing what will make them happy. If the ESFJ is feeling overwhelmed and drained, they will appear much less friendly and maybe a bit hyper focused on what they are doing. When they are in a good mood however, ESFJs will be warm and friendly even towards strangers.
ISTPs are not generally seen as friendly people, simply because they prefer to be on their own. ISTPs enjoy having their own space and freedom to do what they please. They aren’t necessarily anti-social people and are capable of being kind and cordial with others. ISTPs don’t have a strong desire to be overly social or friendly with complete strangers. They feel much more at ease being able to spend most of their time by themselves.
ESTPs are social people, and can often be viewed as very friendly. They enjoy being able to connect with people, and want to be viewed in a positive light. ESTPs are capable of being friendly when they want to be, but do have moments where they just want to be left alone. For the ESTP is entirely depends on their current mood and what they are thinking about. If they are feeling overwhelmed they will be much less friendly than if they are in a positive mood.
ISFPs are definitely friendly and nice people, who enjoy being able to connect with others. While ISFPs are friendly and kind people, they also need plenty of time by themselves. They will certainly be social when they encounter friends, but if they are feeling overwhelmed they will try to retreat when they can. ISFPs simply require plenty of alone time in order to recharge and feel like themselves once again. They are friendly people, but they aren’t always eager to socialize.
ESFPs are extremely friendly people, and often enjoy making friends with everyone they meet. ESFPs love being social and enjoy interacting with complete strangers. They can often spend hours just chatting with a stranger at the supermarket, while their friends or family members are well past ready to leave. ESFPs simply enjoy being able to get along with everyone and absolutely love social interaction with just about anyone.
