While some people are more focused on the physical world, others truly appreciate the wonder of the written word. Here is how each personality type feels about literature.

INFJ

INFJs often enjoy literature quite a bit, it allows them time to absorb and process information. INFJs are often more interested in writing than they are speaking, and feel very comfortable with literature of many different kinds. INFJs often enjoy both writing and reading, and can spend hours absorbed in literature. INFJs have rich inner minds, which makes them easily caught up in stories and powerful words. They enjoy being able to dive into both fiction and nonfiction stories, since INFJs enjoy experiencing different worlds but they also enjoy learning important information. ENFJ

ENFJs are intelligent people, who truly enjoy absorbing information. They are generally very active, but when they have downtime they enjoy being able to absorb literature. ENFJs are often interested in writing themselves, and enjoy it as a way to express themselves more clearly. ENFJs truly enjoy different forms of literature, whether it be fiction or nonfiction. They enjoy being able to enrich their minds, and realize that reading is a great way to do this. INFPs love being able to absorb different things, especially something that helps enrich their minds. INFPs already have rather powerful imaginations and enjoy exploring many new things. For INFPs diving into literature is often a great way to zone into something and help to expand their minds even more. INFPs might not get to partake in certain reading as much as they would like, but they certainly appreciate literature and its importance. Many INFPs are skilled writers as well, and become more capable of expressing themselves with the written word.

ENFP

ENFPs definitely have an appreciation for literature, and often make great writers because of it. ENFPs enjoy being able to explore new things and new ideas as much as they can. They enjoy being able to dive into information and absorb as much as they can from it. ENFPs have truly rich inner minds, and enjoy letting their imagination run wild. They realize that anyone who does not have an interest in different forms of literature, likely live their lives in a very ignorant way. ENTP

ENTPs are very interested in learning and pushing themselves to grow in different ways. They also enjoy exploring new possibilities, and dislike holding themselves back. Their desire to grow often makes ENTPs very intrigued and appreciative of literature and its many forms. They love being able to spend hours just diving into something new, which often includes books and intriguing stories. They enjoy being able to do plenty of research in order to enrich their minds. ENTPs may not always enjoy sitting still for a long period of time, but they ultimately enjoy literature.

ISTJ

ISTJs are hardworking and intelligent people, who enjoy being as knowledgeable as possible. Before ISTJs step into something new, they prefer to do research and reach a deeper understanding. ISTJs often enjoy literature very much, and enjoy being able to absorb new information. Spending time reading is often a comfortable place for ISTJs, especially since they are introverted and internally focused people. ESTJ

ESTJs definitely appreciate the purpose of literature, but usually do not have much time to enjoy it. ESTJs are extremely focused on getting things done, and believe in being as efficient as possible. They will push themselves rather hard in order to live up to their own expectations. ESTJs might respect the use of literature, but most of the time they are focused on action rather than absorbing the written word. ESTJs are hardworking people who are constantly caring for the practical needs of others, which makes them avoid spending too much downtime reading.

ISFJ

ISFJs are caring and giving people, who are mainly focused on caring for their loved ones. They spend much of their energy trying to help and support others, which leaves little room for downtime. When ISFJs do have time to themselves, they often enjoy absorbing literature. They appreciate being able to zone into their reading, and loving stories that can take them away. ISFJs are hardworking and giving people, but they do enjoy some time to themselves and literature is a great way for them to relax.

ESFJ

ESFJs are mainly focused on caring for the needs of their loved ones, which often leaves little time for much else. They want to do whatever they can to make sure that the people close to them are happy and cared for. ESFJs prioritize the needs of others, and rarely spend much time doing what they enjoy. When ESFJs do have downtime, they often enjoy literature and appreciate stories that can expand their imagination. ISTP

ISTPs are very focused on the physical world around them, but they do appreciate literature. ISTPs may not spend much of their time absorbing the written word, especially when it comes to fiction stories- but they do enjoy learning new information. ISTPs are adventurous people and enjoy exploring new possibilities in the world around them. They don’t like to hold themselves back, but ISTPs don’t always find time for much reading.

ESTP

ESTPs are intelligent people who enjoy absorbing information and being more knowledgeable. ESTPs enjoy spending hours researching and are very skilled at remembering facts. They are extremely active people, who enjoy adventure and branching out in their lives.

ISFP

ISFPs are very focused on living in the present moment, which can leave little time for reading. ISFPs do however enjoy literature, and love being able to become immersed in the written word. ISFPs are often poetic souls, which makes them rather intrigued by writing. Although they may not always find the time to sit down and enjoy a good book, ISFPs certainly have an interest in literature. They especially enjoy fiction stories, and love being able to let their imaginations wander.

ESFP

ESFPs are adventurous and fun loving people, but they often fail to spend much time immersed in literature. They do have certain times in their lives where they enjoy reading, but can quickly lose patience with it. ESFPs are always eager to explore and want to try new things. ESFPs simply want life to be fun and enjoyable, without being stressed or held back by negative thoughts. ESFPs rarely sit still for long, since they are often looking for the next fun activity.
