Here’s How Each Personality Type Feels About Chores

While some people don’t mind performing certain chores, others find them entirely exhausting. Here is how you likely feel about chores, based on your personality type.

 

INFJ

INFJs often don’t mind certain chores, since it gives them time to be alone and think. They don’t really cherish menial tasks though, and can become exhausted by the same thing over and over again. They need to have something to make the chore more interesting, which often includes avoiding people. INFJs simply enjoy having this time to perform tasks that are easy, so that they can process the millions of thoughts inside of their minds.

ENFJ

ENFJs don’t mind chores, especially if they are helping their loved ones in some way. They often have a long list of chores that they have to perform in order to take care of people. ENFJs certainly don’t mind chores and small tasks that they know will make their loved ones happier. They are always trying to pick up the slack and often become used to taking care of many different chores. They are caring people who simply want to support their loved ones whenever they can.

INFP

INFPs definitely don’t enjoy having to deal with chores, and might find them a bit boring and even exhausting. They really don’t like having to deal with the deal task over and over again, and might find this a bit mind numbing. INFPs want to do things that challenge and excite them, and dislike being forced to perform seemingly pointless tasks. They can have a hard time with certain daily chores that they need to perform, and might leave them for a bit too long.

ENFP

ENFPs often dislike chores, especially when they are forced to perform them. Certain tasks they can often make interesting little games out of them, in order to make it more challenging and fun. ENFPs have such rich inner minds and sometimes their imaginations can help them make chores a little more enjoyable for them. ENFPs simply dislike being forced to do something, and will enjoy the experience much more if they are doing it of their own free will. They might even enjoy performing chores if they help their loved ones feel better in some way.

 

INTJ

INTJs don’t mind certain chores, especially if they are important things that need to be done. While they are performing those tasks they can sometimes find it nice to have the time away from others just to think freely. INTJs don’t enjoy being forced to do anything by someone else though, and will likely avoid anything that feels like a demand. INTJs might not be fans of boring chores, but they realize that certain things simply need to be done. While INTJs will perform certain tasks, they might put off certain house chores when others aren’t around.

ENTJ

ENTJs certainly don’t enjoy certain chores, especially if it feels like they are being ordered to perform them. They are often busy people though, who juggle many different tasks in order to continue moving forward. ENTJs are fully aware that sometimes they have to perform boring chores in order to get things done efficiently and the way they want. They aren’t afraid of doing things they dislike in order to accomplish whatever goals they have planned.

INTP

INTPs often despise chores and find themselves bored by them rather easily. They want to focus on tasks that challenge and interest them, and become bored quickly if they don’t feel stimulated. Having to perform the same tasks over and over again feels a bit mind numbing for INTPs. They much rather focus on things that excite them and maintain their interest, and the same mandatory chores really don’t provide that for them. INTPs can actually get so caught up in their own thoughts that they forget about their chores entirely.

ENTP

ENTPs don’t enjoy anything that they feel forced to do, especially performing the same menial tasks. They often hate chores and would much rather have someone else around who can help them with anything like housecleaning. While ENTPs are independent people, they also enjoy not having to do things they hate, and chores usually fall into that category. They prefer to focus on things that challenge and excite them, and enjoy feeling like they can explore something new instead of the same tasks.

 

ISTJ

ISTJs don’t mind chores, especially if it is something they have to do. ISTJs are goal oriented people and realize that they need to work hard in order to move forward in life. ISTJs don’t mind chores as long as it is something they know how to do and can perform the task well. They don’t mind doing the chores that other people might find boring or monotonous, and just enjoy being able to get things done without any hang-ups.

ESTJ

ESTJs don’t mind chores, especially if they are doing something important. They don’t enjoy being forced but in most situations they realize that others just aren’t as efficient. ESTJs would often rather get things done themselves so that they can be sure it is done well and to their standards. They are hardworking people so they don’t mind having to take care of a few boring chores and will often feel accomplished after they are finished.

ISFJ

ISFJs definitely don’t mind chores, especially if it is for their loved ones. They enjoy being able to perform certain tasks and actually like being able to take care of others. ISFJs will continue to perform certain chores and will often take over the chores that other people have. They simply want to take care of others, and handling certain boring tasks helps them feel needed and helpful. ISFJs will actually enjoy doing anything that helps their loved ones feel happier and cared for.

ESFJ

ESFJs truly care about their loved ones, which is why performing chores is not boring for them at all. They actually feel accomplished when they can handle the tasks and chores that other people don’t want to do. ESFJs just want to make sure they can take care of the people around them, and want to feel needed. When it comes to chores ESFJs often take them as an opportunity to take care of others and to make them feel more comfortable in their environment.

 

ISTP

ISTPs don’t enjoy chores, especially when it is boring tasks they have to perform over and over again. They hate feeling obligated and want to feel free to do what they please. ISTPs often hate housework and would rather hire someone else to take care of it for them. They want to be out experiencing new things and soaking up the present moment. Having to take care of chores often makes the ISTP feel trapped and stressed.

ESTP

ESTPs truly dislike chores and will often try to find ways to avoid them entirely. They really hate having to perform certain chores, especially ones that they have to do over and over again. ESTPs love being able to explore new things, and want to feel free to experience the present moment. ESTPs often try to put off certain chores, especially when it comes to housework. They dislike living in a messy environment but they dislike having to clean even more.

ISFP

ISFPs definitely do not enjoy chores and would rather focus on things that excite them. Being stuck performing the same boring task over and over again is exhausting for the ISFP. They want to feel free to explore new things and want to dive into something that ignites their passion. When the ISFP is told they must take care of chores they can find it draining and will likely have a hard time forcing themselves.

ESFP

ESFPs definitely don’t enjoy chores, especially when they feel required to take care of them. They want to make their loved ones happy though and will do certain things if it helps them out. ESFPs simply get distracted easily and become caught up in the present moment. They don’t enjoy having to take care of housework or boring chores, and would rather focus on things they find fun and exciting.
