Here’s What Gives You a Heavy Heart, Based on Your Personality Type

Sometimes you become overwhelmed with grief or sadness from something you witness or experience. Having a heavy heart is something that can make you feel alone, or just completely overwhelmed with sympathy. While everyone experiences having a heavy heart sometimes, there are certain things that get us to this place. Here is something that gives you a heavy heart, based on your personality type.

INFJs often experience a heavy heart when they witness the way the world can be so harsh and painful. Seeing suffering around them causes the INFJ to feel overwhelmed sometimes, especially when it feels like so many people just don’t care. Witnessing this type of coldness and cruelty definitely weight heavy on the caring heart of the INFJ. They sometimes lose feeling of hope, and this is something that overwhelmed the INFJ, and they often need to retreat for a while because of it.

Seeing their loves ones in pain and feeling helpless to stop it, definitely causes the ENFJ to have a heavy heart. ENFJs do just about everything to take care of others, and become unhappy when they witness them in pain. Simply seeing coldness and cruelty that they cannot seem to change or understand, definitely weight on the ENFJ heavily. They want to make a difference and believe in being kind to others, ENFJs are largely affected by the pain and suffering of those around them.

INFPs become saddened by what they see in the world around them, and truly want to make a difference. Where the INFP ends up with a truly heavy heart, is when they see wrong in the world and feel helpless to stop it. They want to feel hopeful that they can actually affect things in a positive way, and this is something that is truly important for the INFP. When they start to feel like they aren’t making a real change, the INFP will become overwhelmed and upset by this.

ENFPs have hard time when people put them down for their feelings, and this definitely gives them a heavy heart. Even though ENFPs are likable and popular, there are times when they can feel abandoned by those closest to them. This is difficult for the ENFP, since they want to connect with their loved ones and feel like they are valuable to them. Feeling undervalued or unloved is something that definitely causes the ENFP to have a heavy heart.

INTJs are logical people, but that doesn’t mean they don’t feel things deeply. Often a lack of hope in humanity can weigh heavily on them, and can be a bit upsetting. INTJs want to feel like they can make a difference, often by educated others and removing ignorance. When the INTJ witnesses people they admire turning a blind eye to the truth, it definitely gives them a heavy heart and causes them to feel like their efforts are in vain.

Feeling betrayed by the people they love definitely gives the ENTJ a heavy heart. They want to feel connected to those closest to them, and they have a hard time when they feel abandoned. ENTJs believe in loyalty and this is honestly the most important thing for them in their relationships. When they are betrayed it causes them to lose hope in their relationships, which definitely gives them a heavy heart.

INTPs are internal people who often keep their feelings and even their thoughts to themselves. INTPs can feel it weighing on them when they are constantly misunderstood even by the people they love. They want to feel understood and appreciated by their loved ones, and this is something they rarely experience. Feeling constantly misunderstood definitely weight on the heart of the INTP, and might make them feel a bit lonely.

ENTPs often feel saddened when they are misunderstood or judged harshly by their loved ones. They want to be someone that the people closest to them look up to, and become hurt when this does not happen. ENTPs can certainly experience feeling a heavy heart when they are betrayed or hurt by the people they trust and rely on to be there for them when things are hard.

ISTJs often hide their feelings, but that doesn’t mean they don’t experience them. Where the ISTJ can have a heavy heart, is often when they feel betrayed by someone they love. Putting their trust in someone and having that be destroyed, can truly hurt the ISTJ immensely. Loyalty means a lot to them, and they stand by their loved ones no matter what, having someone betray them is something that definitely brings them down.

ESTJs do a lot to take care of the people they love, and simply want loyalty from them. When they feel like they aren’t doing enough, or are betrayed by those closest to them, it definitely weighs on the heart of the ESTJ. They don’t like seeing their loved ones in pain, and often do whatever they can to help them. Feeling abandoned or betrayed is honestly one of the most painful things for the ESTJ.

Something that weighs heavy on the heart of the ISFJ, is witnessing cruelty and feeling like they cannot change it. They hate seeing people in pain, and become hurt when it is caused by other people. They often don’t understand how others can be so cruel, and wish they could change that. It can weigh heavy on them when they witness the pain in the world and feel powerless to really stop it.

When the ESFJ sees their loved ones in pain it definitely weighs heavy on their heart. They care about others and want to do whatever they can to make them happy. ESFJs become overwhelmed when they feel like they cannot truly help the people they love and simply want to do what they can to ease their suffering. Feeling like they cannot help or make a difference, this definitely weighs heavily on the ESFJ.

ISTPs are often independent people who keep their emotions to themselves. While they prefer to keep things that doesn’t mean the ISTP does not feel things. The things that often weigh heaviest on them are when people simply do not understand who they are and it causes them to judge the ISTP. They want their loved ones to feel like the ISTP is someone they can trust, since they believe in being sincere.

Betrayal is one of the things that weighs on the heart of the ESTP the most. When they feel like the people they love are abandoning them it truly hurts them in a way that most don’t understand. ESTPs just want to feel like they are doing things right and like they are someone others can look up to. Feeling shunned this way truly hurts the ESTP and definitely gives them a heavy heart.

ISFPs feel a heavy heart when they witness pain and cruelty and feel powerless to make a difference. They hate seeing people be cruel to one another and believe in simply spreading kindness. ISFPs don’t like this type of behavior and often try not to focus on it at all. They become truly pained when these things happen, they simply want to feel like the world is filled with good people.

ESFPs often feel things very deeply, and many things can give them a heavy heart. They become pained when they witness others in pain, especially when they see animals suffering. ESFPs feel overwhelmed by the pain of the world, and simply want to avoid focusing on it when they can. They also feel their heart grow heavy when it feels like their loved ones are ignoring or abandoning them in some ways.
