Here’s How You Feel About Running Errands, Based on Your Personality Type

While errands are something most of us have to deal with, some handle it better than others. There are some types who become extremely frustrated by simple errands, while it comes natural to some. Here is who you feel about running errands, based on your personality type.

INFJ

INFJs definitely aren’t fans of having to run errands, especially smaller unimportant ones. They will take care of the things that need to be done, especially if they are the one their family is depending on. While INFJ will do what they must and make sure everything is organized, they rarely find themselves enjoying the monotony of running errands. There are times when these tasks might not be too bad for them though, especially when it gives them plenty of alone time to think through the many thoughts and feelings inside of them.

ENFJ

ENFJs are often rather accustomed to running errands, since they take a lot on themselves. They are usually the errand runner in their household, or in the very least they delegate some errands to their partner. For the most part though ENFJs take on these tasks alone, since they want to be sure everything is done correctly. While they might become exhausted or bored by these errands sometimes, they will still continue to make sure they are taken care of. They care about their loved ones and do everything they can to ensure their happiness and well-being, which often includes errand runs.

INFP

INFPs usually aren’t fans of having to run errands, and might find this monotonous and boring. They aren’t always the best at remembering smaller tasks like this, since their minds have more important things to process and dive into. If the INFP doesn’t get enough alone time, then errands might be a good chance for them to be on their own. They will enjoy this experience when they can simply zone out and do the task at hand without much thought. If their errands require too much focus though, the INFP might find themselves bored and a bit exhausted by the process.

ENFP

ENFPs really aren’t fans of having to run monotonous errands, and often find them to be a bit exhausting. They will certainly run errands if they must, but it becomes something that drains them after a while. The ENFP would rather feel free to experience different things and do whatever excite them, instead of having to run errands that feel like the same thing over and over again. ENFPs aren’t fans of these types of responsibilities, and would rather take care of something more meaningful.

INTJ

INTJs really don’t enjoy having to run errands, but they will do what needs to be done. They might try to put it off for a while though, or even enlist someone else to take care of the more menial tasks. INTJs would rather focus on improving things that are more valuable to them and become drained by smaller tasks. They are responsible people who will take care of things when they must, even if they don’t always enjoy it. In some situations the INTJ might enjoy errands that don’t take much thought, since it allows them time to themselves to just think things through inside of their minds.

ENTJ

ENTJs are often great at taking care of errands, and might take a lot on themselves. They do this because they can become irritated with the inefficiency of others, and would rather do it themselves. ENTJs are hardworking people who dislike when things aren’t done properly, and value a strong work ethic. For ENTJs running errands is often an important task, even if it can become boring after a while. They simply believe in taking care of their responsibilities no matter what, even the ones they aren’t excited about.

INTP

INTPs really don’t enjoy running errands and can become bored with them rather easily. They often procrastinate most of their errands until last minute, since they don’t really want to do them at all. INTPs might even prefer having someone else take care of their errands, especially the more menial tasks. They can often force themselves to tag along if their loved ones are going on an errand run, especially if they enjoy the presence of their company.

ENTP

ENTPs really aren’t interested in running errands and can become bored by this rather easily. They often become distracted and find something else more interesting to occupy their time. ENTPs will likely leave their errands until last minute, or enlist the help of someone else to get them done. They are more interested in focusing on things that challenge their minds and ignite their passions. Having to take care of the same boring errands over and over again becomes somewhat draining for the ENTP.

ISTJ

ISTJs actually don’t mind running errands, since they are very responsible people. Taking care of these tasks is something they realize needs to be done, so they would rather just take care of it themselves. ISTJs might even enjoy the time alone to explore their own thoughts without having to communicate with anyone for long periods of time. Being able to take care of their important errands and just enjoy this time to themselves really isn’t so bad for the ISTJ.

ESTJ

ESTJs are hardworking people who often value efficiency above much else. Because of their desire for efficiency ESTJs might prefer to deal with their errands themselves. Instead of letting others take on these tasks and end up doing it incorrectly, ESTJs might prefer to do it on their own. They don’t mind having to run errands since they do believe in being responsible and getting things done before it becomes too late.

ISFJ

ISFJs don’t mind running errands since they often take on many tasks themselves. They enjoy being able to care for their loved ones, and oftentimes these more practical things are important as well. ISFJs will usually be the household errand runner, and might even take on the errands of their loved ones as well. They simply want to ensure that everyone is taken care of and work hard to ensure the well-being of those around them.

ESFJ

ESFJs are often the designated errand runner, and might even take on the errands of their loved ones as well. They simply want to be sure to take care of the people in their lives and dislike leaving them without the things they need. When they see that some of their loved ones are procrastinating certain chores or errands, the ESFJ will likely take them on themselves. For the ESFJ running errands can certainly be draining and even boring, but they do this in order to tend to the needs of those around them.

ISTP

ISTPs definitely don’t enjoy running errands and can often put them off until last minute. They dislike having to perform these monotonous tasks and likely become bored of them easily. ISTPs would rather focus on the things they enjoy and become rather caught up in the present moment. Their desire to live in the present can make it difficult for the ISTP to focus on smaller tasks like running errands and doing chores.

ESTP

ESTPs will certainly take care of the errands that need to be done, but they usually dislike it immensely. They can put of certain errands until last minute and even become distracted during their errand runs. The ESTP might leave the house to purchase a few groceries, and end up searching through stores for other things they want rather than what they actually need. ESTPs simply become distracted easily and would rather focus on living the moment.

ISFP

ISFPs really aren’t fans of running errands and can become bored of them rather easily. The only thing the ISFP might enjoy about running errands is getting time to themselves to think. They would rather live in the present and dislike having to focus on the more boring responsibilities on their lists. Running errands can often be something the ISFP become too distracted to focus on, and they end up completely bored by this.

ESFP

ESFPs definitely don’t enjoy errands, but they can often make the experience fun if they have a loved one with them. Even a small errand run can turn into an adventure with the ESFP, since they know how to make more boring tasks somewhat fun. They will likely prefer to take someone with them on their errand runs and enjoy being around the people they love. ESFPs can make these boring tasks exciting, as long as they have someone special to share it with.
