Here’s How Hip You Are, Based on Your Personality Type

While some people aren’t interested in keeping up with trends, others are extremely hip. Here is how hip you are, based on your personality type.

INFJ

INFJs aren’t often seen as hip people, simply because they don’t care to constantly keep up with what is popular. While they might not be all around hip, they do have a side that is drawn to certain trendy things. INFs might enjoy modern movies, or even certain games or events that are definitely keeping up with the times. They simply don’t become interested in subjects in order to be seen as hip, and can often be a bit geeky in the eyes of those around them.

ENFJ

ENFs are often hip people, since they enjoy being able to keep up with their loved ones. They don’t want to be left behind by the people they spend their time with, so they will certainly keep up with what is trendy and modern. ENFJs are good at picking up on trends and will pay close attention to what is popular. ENFJs might even watch a new TV show just so that they can be sure to have something to discuss with others. For the ENF being able to keep up with those around them is important because they don’t want to feel disconnected from their loved ones.

INFP

INFPs definitely enjoy being aware of the world around them, but they aren’t often seen as hip people. Even if the INFP is fully aware of modern trends, they won’t take part in them just because everyone else is. They would much rather take interest in the things they sincerely enjoy, instead of focusing on something just to gain popularity. INFPs only show interest in something because they sincerely like it, and aren’t fake people by any means.

ENFP

ENFPs can definitely be hip people, and are often aware of what is trendy. While they are capable of keeping up with modern times, they won’t take interest in something just for the sake of popularity. ENFPs are more likely to be trendsetters than they are trend followers. They can certainly be seen as hip and cool people, but if there is something they dislike they won’t pretend that they are interested in it. ENFPs are sincere people, who stand up for their beliefs and follow their hearts.

INTJ

INTJs aren’t really concerned with being hip, but they do like to keep up with what is happening around them. They are often interested in trends for the mere reason of wanting to study patterns and observe how people behave. INTJs don’t really care about being popular or doing things simply because other people will be impressed by it. INTJs can be hip if it is what they want, and are good at putting out an image. But the truth is most INTJs aren’t interested in doing what other people like, and prefer to focus on their own interests.

ENTJ

ENTJs can definitely be hip people if they are interested in keeping up with things. ENTJs do enjoy being able to impress others, so they will find a way to keep up with what is going on around them. They are focused and driven people, which is why they dislike being left behind in any way. They will keep themselves interested in trends because it helps them keep up with those around them. ENTJs will sometimes be seen as hip people, simply so they can be aware of everything going on.

INTP

INTPs can actually be surprisingly hip people, since they are well aware of what is going on around them. They enjoy paying attention to trends since it helps them take notice of patterns and assists them in understanding people better. INTPs enjoy being able to keep up with the times, but this is mostly done for research purposes. They want to be able to challenge themselves and are constantly trying to explore new possibilities. INTPs can often predict trends and will recognize what is going to become popular next. They aren’t always interested in keeping up with things for popularity purposes, but sometimes their knowledge does make them hip.

ENTP

ENTPs are often surprisingly hip people, since they enjoy keeping up with what is going on around them. They like to be aware of trends and new things, mostly for the sake of research. ENTPs love learning and keeping up with anything new and popular is a great way to keep themselves entertained. They hate feeling stagnant, so for the ENTP being hip is just something that comes naturally from their desire to keep themselves challenged.

ISTJ

ISTJs are likely to be hip if the people around them are good at keeping them up with what is popular. They try to maintain a focus on what is important to them, and keeping up with trends isn’t always part of that. They have goals which are important to them, and they don’t want anything to hold them back. Being hip isn’t always the most important thing for the ISTJ, but they will keep up with things if they believe it can help them in their careers or personal lives.

ESTJ

ESTJs aren’t always the most hip people, simply because they don’t care to be. ESTJs focus on what they believe is important and work hard to maintain efficiency in their lives. For them it isn’t important to try and force themselves to keep up with trends and be seen as a hip person. ESTs are certainly capable of pushing themselves into something if they value it, but when it comes to being hip they rarely care much for something that seems to wasteful.

ISFJ

ISFJs can definitely be hip people since they enjoy keeping up with trends. They don’t enjoy being behind on the times, since they care about impressing those around them. ISFJs don’t like to feel left behind, but they are often naturally hip people. They are aware of what is popular since they pay close attention to what is going on the in the world around them.

ESFJ

While ESFJs can often be viewed as popular and hip people, this is something that comes from paying attention to what is trendy. While some ESFJs can naturally be hip and keep up with what is popular, others find themselves stuck in the past. During times of intense change some ESFJs might find themselves feeling a bit disjointed by the constant change of trends. They can certainly keep up with it, they just might not have the desire to.

ISTP

ISTPs are actually rather hip people, and are naturally seen as cool. They know how to keep up with trends, because they enjoy experiencing things that are new and exciting. For ISTPs being hip isn’t something they try to do, it simply comes naturally. They are find themselves interesting in new things and want to constantly challenge themselves to experience excitement.

ESTP

ESTPs are often very hip people, who know how to keep up with what is popular. They enjoy new things and like feeling like they are impressive to others. For ESTPs it is often natural to be hip and keep up with what those around them are interested in. Popularity might not be the main goal of the ESTP, but they do want their loved ones to be drawn to them.

ISFP

ISFPs can definitely be hip people, and might even find themselves becoming trendsetters. They are drawn to anything new and flashy, and enjoy being able to show others something exciting and cool. ISFPs like being able to discover something that hasn’t even become popular yet, and will share these new things with their loved ones.

ESFP

ESFPs are naturally hip people who know just how to keep up with what is popular. They are often interested in keeping up with what is popular, but ESFPs are so hip that they can even become trendsetters themselves. They aren’t the types to be sheltered or kept away from showing off their outfits or anything flashy and new. ESFPs can even keep their loved ones up on what is trendy, making those around them hipper than usual.
