ESTP Weight Loss & Dieting: How to Burn Fat

Dealing with weight loss and healthy dieting is a struggle for so many people, and so we are often looking for tools and ways to make this easier. Sometimes finding more personal means of becoming healthier is the best way to be successful in your approach. So many diets and methods are not personalized and they end up being more of a struggle for people than they are a help. This is why diving deeper into your personality type can actually be a helpful tool in uncovering better steps towards a healthy lifestyle and weight loss plan. While it sometimes requires more professional assistance, there are some important things to learn about which might be beneficial for each personality type.

When it comes to diet and exercise ESTPs definitely need something which keeps them interested. They can find themselves bored somewhat easily and become distracted by something new. They also don’t like feeling restricted or as if they have to follow some sort of routine or schedule. This can make it a bit challenging for the ESTP who is attempting to follow some sort of weight loss and diet plan, as they can become frustrated by anything which seems to hold them back from what they want to do so. ESTPs are people who live in the present moment, which makes it harder for them to resist certain urges, especially ones they don’t particularly want to resist.

Best Type of Exercise

For the ESTP exercise which allows them to mix things up and keeps them interested is much more rewarding for them. Doing the same things over and over again can leave the ESTP feeling exhausted and painfully bored. They are likely to give up on things which make them feel trapped or are too monotonous. They need to be able to experience new things and so exercise which allows this is truly important for them. They enjoy being able to be a bit spontanious when it comes to their workouts, which is why keeping a gym bag in their car can be good for them. ESTPs also enjoy having a good workout partner, someone to keep them interested and moving forward. Having someone to make the experience something fun and social is more likely to keep the ESTP motivated. If this is a friend who they enjoy spending time with then the ESTP can use this as inspiration to continue working out and it will keep them truly interested. They are outgoing people most of the time, but can be particular about who they spend their time with. Having someone they enjoy being around to keep them motivated will go a long way.

ESTPs also enjoy exercise which is more like a hobby, things which are exciting for them. ESTPs might enjoy taking on some sort of activity like rock climbing, biking, or going through obstacle courses. They need something which really keeps them feeling challenged, rather than doing something which becomes boring for them. They might even enjoy entering into more competitive sports, so that they can continue to push themselves and hope to improve and perfect what they are doing. Having other people who keep them feeling challenged and like they can do better, will keep the ESTP interested and hungry for more. They don’t like feeling stagnant or like they are trapped in the same thing, which is why challenging sports and activities will definitely motivate them to keep moving forward.

ESTP Diet Plan

ESTPs often need to focus on making healthier choices, and do better when they make this fun rather than an obligation. They are much better at keeping up with exercise than they are maintaining a diet, since they have a hard time denying their urges. ESTPs are very focused on living in the present and enjoy being able to experience new things whenver they want. When it comes to food they might overindulge with things they really enjoy, which makes it hard to maintain certain diets. This is why ESTPs benefit from focusing more on finding healthy food options that they really like, and won’t feel as guilty over. Having healthy snacks which they can easily grab on the go without having to plan things, can benefit the ESTP. They might struggle with wanting to splurge in the moment and so having access to things which are healthy can be wise. ESTPs also benefit from planning out certain healthy options at their favorite restaurants, so they don’t feel as if they are missing out. They might want to go out with their friends and so they need to be able to do this without constantly ruining their diet. If they figure out the best meal options at each of their commonly attended restaurants, the ESTP will be more likely to maintain this.

The Struggles for the ESTP Diet

For the ESTP their spontanious way of behaving is something which can make their diet and exercise plan a but of a challenge. They don’t like feeling as if they have been trapepd by their plan, instead they want something which motivated them. They want to feel free to make their own choices and not as if they are ruled by something like their diet. They can also struggle with making choices in the moment which end up ruining their diet or motivation to exercise. They want to be able to experience new things without constantly feeling held back. They want to be able to feel free, and so this spontanious nature can make it hard for them to stick to these plans sometimes. This is why finding certain tools which keep them interested and give them enough freedom to do what they want, is going to make it much easier for the ESTP to stick to their diet and weight loss plan. They are physical people who often want to be healthy so that they can enjoy things and certain physical activities, and so they just need to find things which keep them interested and focused.
