ENTJ Guide to Happiness: How to Find Joy as an ENTJ
Most people seem to be searching for happiness, whether it is on a larger scale or in small meaningful ways. Finding a sense of joy in life can be challenging for most people, especially when they don’t necessarily feel understood by the outside world. While the majority of people are often searching for ways to make themselves happy and find a sense of joy in their lives, this can be something which they struggle with if they don’t figure out the keys to what makes them feel fulfilled. Sometimes knowing one’s personality type can aid in this search for joy, and knowing the specific needs and desires which will make someone feel like they are being valued and rewarded in their daily lives.
ENTJs can often be viewed as happy people, since they don’t like to let any negative emotions stand in their way. They focus on their own path and ensuring that they can accomplish their goals. Having a strong sense of who they are and what they want are things which really help the ENTJ when it comes to finding a sense of joy in their lives. This can certainly be a struggle for them, like it is for anyone, but ENTJs often have their own particular goals and needs which are important to them. So long as they take the time to understand themselves and what they truly want, the ENTJ can work hard to go after these goals and ensure that they are content and pleased with their lives. Being people who are strong-willed and focused on getting things done, can actually benefit the ENTJ when it comes to finding out what they want in life.
Leadership Roles
ENTJs enjoy being in leadership roles, and feel most content in these types of positions. They will be happiest if they are in a career which gives them plenty of freedoms, or even if they are running their own business. ENTJs are unlikely to be happy if they are trapped in a position where they have to answer to others, and will quickly feel stifled by this. Having to constantly fulfill the needs of their boss or people above them is unlikely to be rewarding to the ENTJ. They need freedom to make their own choices and follow their own intuition, and this is why running their own business is often ideal for them. There are also plenty of other options for the ENTJ, the biggest part if that they need to have freedom to do things on their own terms. When they are in a position to lead others they feel more at ease, and comfortable with their career. Being a leader is something which comes naturally for the ENTJ and really does feel rewarding to them. They are happiest when they can delegate and inspire a team of people in order to get things done efficiently. When they can witness this team come together and get the job done alongside their leadership, it makes the ENTJ feel fulfilled and like they have served a real purpose.
Sincere Connections
For the ENTJ making sincere and lasting connections is truly important, as they prefer to have people in their lives. They don’t want to be lonely or be without people who they can care for and who care for them. For the ENTJ it is about the quality of these connections, as they want to be sure they are with people they can trust and rely on. Loyalty is such an important thing for the ENTJ personality, and they need people who they know will stand by them through anything. They want to be sure about their close relationships and know that they have built bonds which will last. ENTJs don’t care for shallow connections or anything which seems to be fleeting, instead they would rather wait for people who value them and will stand by them. ENTJs also return this loyalty and will do just about anything for the people they love. When they care for someone this means a lot to them, and so it is important that they have people who value this connection as well. ENTJs are likely to be unhappy without close relationships, and really need to have people in their lives who they can connect with often.
Measurable Success
For the ENTJ knowing that they have achieved certain goals and have plenty more ahead of them, is actually important. While knowing when to relax is also something they need, ENTJs do best when they feel a sense of accomplishment. This does not have to be on a grand scale, it simply brings them a sense of joy when they finish something important to them. Whether this means setting small goals and witnessing them come to fruition, or setting larger ones and pushing hard to reach them. ENTJs need to be constantly thinking about the future and all of the things they want out of life. Knowing what they want can be something which definitely brings the ENTJ a sense of joy, and so taking time to figure this out is important. The ENTJ definitely needs to spend time analyzing their own thoughts and emotions, in order to feel more at ease with themselves and their choices.
Making a Difference
ENTJs might be seen as aggressive and sometimes cold people, but this really isn’t the case. They care deeply about their loved ones, and so for the ENTJ knowing they have made some sort of positive impact on the world is actually important. They might not view this the same as other people do, and so their impact might be in helping a team of people achieve success, or in helping their loved ones further a goal. For the ENTJ it is just about knowing they have made a positive impact, and have left some sort of mark which is helpful to the world around them. Of course they would be thrilled to achieve something on a larger scale and know they are helping people (often by spreading information), but even on a more personal level this will be satisfying to the ENTJ.
