ENFP Weight Loss & Dieting: How to Burn Fat

Dealing with weight loss and healthy dieting is a struggle for so many people, and so we are often looking for tools and ways to make this easier. Sometimes finding more personal means of becoming healthier is the best way to be successful in your approach. So many diets and methods are not personalized and they end up being more of a struggle for people than they are a help. This is why diving deeper into your personality type can actually be a helpful tool in uncovering better steps towards a healthy lifestyle and weight loss plan. While it sometimes requires more professional assistance, there are some important things to learn about which might be beneficial for each personality type.

The biggest struggle for ENFPs is finding something they can stick to, as they can become bored with their diets and schedules. They don’t like anything too strict, but when they aren’t really dedicated to something it becomes easy for them to lose interest. Finding the right combination can be a real challenge for them, as they can bounce from one diet fad to the next rather quickly. ENFPs like to try new things and want to experience different ideas, but might not be able to really remain interested in these things for long. Just because they are spontaneous and don’t like strict schedules, doesn’t mean there aren’t plenty of tools and ways for the ENFP to maintain a healthy diet and lifestyle. They just need to find things which work best for them, rather than trying to conform to outside expectations.

Best Type of Exercise

For the ENFP the best types of exercise are ones which keep them entertained, which often means trying new things. They like to dive into something new as they can get bored of something which is too scheduled and always feels like the same thing each time. This is why having a workout partner can be really beneficial for the ENFP, as it keeps them on track but allows them room to explore different options. Having someone who also enjoys trying different ways of exercising can be great, things like hiking, running, yoga, or taking some intense classes at their gym. When they have someone to share this with, the ENFP becomes more inspired to keep going, and might even benefit from a group of friends who share a passion for fitness. This gives them a sense of accountability and also gives the ENFP new challenges to take on, instead of becoming stagnant and bored with the situation. They need to feel excited by what is next, and so having the ability to switch things up and share this with friends can really be beneficial for the ENFP. There are also different apps which require you to get so many steps in, and when doing this with a team it makes the ENFP feel like they have to live up to those expectations so they don’t drag everyone else down. This gives them that accountability and also provides them with an interesting new challenge they can take on.

ENFP Diet Plan

For ENFPs a strict diet plan or taking on some new diet fad, really isn’t going to be beneficial for them. They are likely to lose interest in these things rather quickly and it can cause them to binge or completely abandon their healthy eating habits. This is why maintaining something much more relaxed and just focusing on making healthy choices is going to be better for the ENFP. Counting calories rarely works for them, as they find themselves distracted and it becomes easy to cheat in these situations. For the ENFP just eating right by purchasing foods which are good for them and balanced, can help them stay on track. There are apps which can also track what they are eating and help them when they are going out to eat with friends. For the ENFP things like this which are more interactive, give them a sense of focus and can make it easier to maintain this. They can be somewhat spontaneous people, which is why having healthy snacks around their home or even in their car can be a smart choice for the ENFP. They need options which are more flexible, which is why focusing on something which is best fitted to their personal needs and desires is best. Anything which is strict and makes the ENFP feel like they are being controlled by their diet, is ultimately not going to work well for them. If they do find a more restrictive diet which they personally believe in, this can make it easier for the ENFP to stick to it. They might want to go vegan or stick to something which they feel personally connected to, and in this case they can become very focused on maintaining this lifestyle.

The Struggles for the ENFP Diet

The biggest struggle for the ENFP is that they become easily distracted from most schedules or plans. They find themselves drawn to something new and don’t like feeling restricted by anything. When they have to focus on some sort of plan or schedule it can become rather draining for them, and they are likely to cheat and find something more interesting. This is why finding choices which they feel personally inspired by is really the only way for the ENFP to live a healthy lifestyle. They need to feel connected and excited about both their exercise plans and their dieting plans. Without feeling passionate about it the ENFP will find themselves bored and wanting to give up. They also benefit from having friends to connect with, and so finding a group of people who are interested in their health is definitely going to help the ENFP to maintain a sense of focus. Being someone who doesn’t like schedules or strict plans can make it hard to live a healthy lifestyle, but not at all impossible. ENFPs who learn to focus on things they enjoy can really find themselves diving into a lifestyle of health and fitness with a sense of passion and excitement.
