INFJ

INFJs don’t really enjoy having to be the one who breaks the ice, but that doesn’t mean they cannot be good at it. INFJs can be good at finding a little joke or comment which connects them to that person. This can help them to break the ice a bit and make things more comfortable. At the same time INFJs can feel awkward when they forced to do this, especially in a situation where they feel forced or unnatural.

ENFJ

ENFJs are often great at breaking the ice, since they know how to make people feel more comfortable. They are good at finding ways to relax the situation and help others connect better with them. ENFJs have a natural understanding of the emotions of others, and so this helps them to find the right words to really break the ice. For ENFJs this comes naturally and isn’t something they often struggle with even with brand new friendships or acquaintances.

INFP

If the INTP really want to get to know someone, they will try their best to come up with interesting topics to break the ice. At the same time this can feel forced on their end, and really isn’t something they naturally find themselves wanting to do.

ENTP

ENTPs are outgoing and charismatic people, who really enjoy trying out new situations. Because of their desire to jump into something new, they actually can be good at breaking the ice. Sometimes the ENTP wants to break the ice, while other times they don’t mind creating the more awkward situations. For the ENTP it depends on their goals and what they are hoping to gain from the situation.

 

ISTJ

ISTJs don’t necessarily like being the ones who have to break the ice, since this can feel unnatural for them. They often feel more comfortable in their own space, and don’t really want to be bothered by too many too people. ISTJs do however, push themselves to communicate with someone if they truly want to get to know them and make a connection. In these situations the ISTJ will do their best to break the ice and try to make things more comfortable.

ESTJ

ESTJs are often capable of breaking the ice, simply because they don’t feel awkward all that easily. If they want to get to know someone they simply approach them in a confident manner and do their best to start up a conversation. At the same time ESTJs don’t naturally understand the emotional needs of others, and so they might not be able to read the situation or if the other person is feeling awkward or uncomfortable.

ISFJ

ISFJs can be good at breaking the ice, simply because they are sensitive and understanding people. They know how to connect with others and do their best to make the conversation more comfortable. ISFJs try to break the ice by creating a sense of harmony and ensuring that the mood in the room is warm and safe. They enjoy making things easier for those around them and don’t like awkward situations.

ESFJ

ESFJs can actually be excellent at breaking the ice, since they enjoy making people feel more comfortable. If they are trying to get to know someone the ESFJ will simply do their best to read that individual and what their personal needs might be. They want to pay close attention to others so that they know how to make them more comfortable. ESFJs are great at breaking the ice because they understand the needs of those around them.

While they are charming people they have a tendency to miss someone else’s signals.

ESTP

ESTPs are outgoing and charming people, so they do often know how to make things more comfortable if they want. If the other person is feeling a bit awkward in a new situation, the ESTP will do their best to make things easier. They can often find a way to use their charm and keep the conversation going, so that the other person does not have to do all of the work. This certainly helps the ESTP with breaking the ice, especially with someone they want to get to know.

ISFP

ISFPs are friendly people, and so they are good at connecting with others and getting to know them on a deeper level. At the same time ISFPs can feel awkward if they are the ones who have to initiate of break the ice. They often prefer to wait for someone else to start the conversation or work towards making things a bit more comfortable. They do their best to to get to know new people, they just aren’t naturals when it comes to breaking the ice.

ESFP

ESFPs are outgoing and friendly people, and so this helps them to connect with others easily. They can often break the ice if someone is feeling uncomfortable, but they do this by drawing the attention to themselves. They aren’t awkward with being the center of attention, instead the ESFP is often at ease with this. Because of their social personalities they know how to make things comfortable and can naturally break the ice.
