ENTP Weight Loss & Dieting: How to Burn Fat

Dealing with weight loss and healthy dieting is a struggle for so many people, and so we are often looking for tools and ways to make this easier. Sometimes finding more personal means of becoming healthier is the best way to be successful in your approach. So many diets and methods are not personalized and they end up being more of a struggle for people than they are a help. This is why diving deeper into your personality type can actually be a helpful tool in uncovering better steps towards a healthy lifestyle and weight loss plan. While it sometimes requires more professional assistance, there are some important things to learn about which might be beneficial for each personality type.

When it comes to weight loss and dieting the biggest struggle for ENTPs is often remaining focused. They dislike anything which feels too strict and don’t like having to follow some sort of planned out schedule. When things become restricting for them they may want to pull away from it, and might abandon these healthy practices entirely because of it. ENTPs do best in environments which give them freedom, and doesn’t leave them feeling like they are missing out on something. ENTPs are rational people and so they do recognize the benefits of living a healthier lifestyle, they just don’t want to feel like they are being forced into this and losing a sense of their own freedom because of it. Certain diet fads or trends can be annoying to them, and they find it challenging to deal with adhering to the same thing for a long time.

Best Type of Exercise

ENTPs are social people and so they might enjoy exercising with friends or having people to hold them accountable in some ways. They enjoy the social aspect of it and this gives them motivation to continue pushing forward. They might not enjoy certain plans or things which make them feel restricted, as they need a bit more spontaneity in their lives. They can benefit from being able to go to the gym when they please, and are often good at maintaining this when they enjoy what they are doing there. ENTPs often prefer different types of workouts, instead of just the same mundane exercises that so many people are drawn to. They enjoy doing things outside most of the time, like hiking, rock climbing or swimming but also can benefit from something more unique like boxing or fencing. For the ENTP knowing that they are also learning a new skill and perfecting this can inspire them to feel more passionate about what they are doing. When the ENTP becomes bored and feels like it is a chore, this is when they start to lose interest. This is why finding a hobby which excites them and also gets them into good shape, is going to be much more rewarding long-term. While they might be able to maintain their workout schedule at first, they can start to lose interest when it seems to constantly be the same thing. This is why certain hobbies can give the ENTP plenty of room for growth and to challenge themselves in new ways. When they find something they are also passionate about and can constantly improve upon, they find it much easier to keep motivated and continue to maintain this healthier lifestyle.

ENTP Diet Plan

ENTPs can struggle with maintaining a diet since they can be spontaneous with how they eat. While they don’t really enjoy having a schedule with most things, it is important that they work on this when it comes to their meal planning. They need to ensure that they don’t skip important meals and keep themselves balanced much better. Often the best method for ENTPs is not to focus on fad diets, and instead focus on just making healthier choices with what they eat. They don’t often need stricter dieting plans or things they have to adhere to without room for cheat days or mistakes. Instead ENTPs benefit from just focusing on moderation and eating things which are good for their mind and body. They love to do research and often spend time trying to learn which meal plans or diets would be best for them, but this can sometimes cause them to bounce around because of curiosity. They need to make sure they don’t hop from one diet to the next, as this can cause them to lose focus and struggle to actually maintain any sort of healthy diet choices. Something which gives them more space to change it up and not feel like they are being forced into something, is going to be more beneficial for the ENTP in the long run.

The Struggles for the ENTP Diet

The big struggle for ENTPs when it comes to dieting is that they are naturally more spontaneous people. They don’t like having to follow rules and can be put off by anything which is too strict. They don’t want to feel like they are missing out on something by making a certain choice, which is why so many diet plans can be a bit too restricting for them. ENTPs need some sort of freedom and openness when it comes to their healthy lifestyle, or else they start to feel trapped and might give up entirely. They can benefit from having healthy snacks around, and things which won’t ruin their diet when they want something in the moment. ENTPs might not want something too strict, but they do need some sort of schedule when it comes to their meals or else they become too easily distracted. Finding this balance between having space to break the rules once in a while, and being able to maintain focus, is truly important for the ENTP attempting to live a healthier lifestyle. A big part of this for the ENTP is recognizing how important it is to them, and how much they personally want to improve their own physical and mental strength and awareness.
