Enneagram Type 3 Female: The Enneagram Type Three Woman

The Enneagram is a categorization of personality types based on how people perceive and respond to the world and information they gather, as well their own emotions. This describes 9 different enneagram or personality types, and each one possesses certain core beliefs which are what drives them. These beliefs drive each type and also can be limiting at times, which is why understanding them is so important. It isn’t meant to lock people into those weaknesses or limitations, instead it is meant to help them improve and find ways to maintain a sense of healthy balance in their lives. It also helps to gain a deeper understanding of what motivates the people around you, and helps to comprehend why they contradict themselves at times. Knowing the enneagram gives a clearer sense of these inner motivations and even fears.

Understanding each type is important but it can also be important to understanding the variations. For certain types it might cause them to respond differently to the world being a type 3 woman, and how they are perceived by others because of this. They are also known as the achievers, their biggest goal being to feel worthwhile and truly valuable. Understanding how this correlates with being a female type 3, can help to gain a deeper comprehension of how they respond to the world as well as how they can better manage their own emotions.

Type 3- The Achiever

The type 3 personality can be somewhat status-conscious, since they are driven by a desire to feel worthy and valuable. They care about how they are seen in society, and so they are constantly pushing themselves to achieve great things. They want to be someone who can accomplish their goals and be impressive to others. They can appear to be workaholics because of this, pushing themselves to always be at their best. They want to be indispensable in the workplace and to those around them, by striving to be someone who sets themselves apart from others. The type 3 person wants to be viewed as truly valuable and special, someone who goes above and beyond to get things done. They are in pursuit of success in hopes of feeling a sense of validation from people. They care about being admired and having people look up to them and their accomplishments. At their best this makes the type 3 inspirational to others, someone who strives to be a good role model and confident in themselves and what they are capable of achieving.

The Type 3 Woman Values

The healthy version of the type 3 woman is highly capable and will likely achieve amazing things in their lives. They are goal-oriented and not afraid of going after things and pushing themselves to succeed. They can certainly be seen as workaholics because of their inner drive and desire to advance, but this is not necessarily viewed as a bad thing. People can often value this type of strong will and inner confidence, wanting to become like the type 3 woman. They know how to gain momentum and rise through their careers rather quickly and skillfully. They can work well with other people and know how to be rather charming. They are amazing at first impressions because they are aware of how people will perceive them. Their natural ability to be seen as someone who is impressive and capable, as well as well-put together, makes them rather desirable to others. They are often very polished people, knowing how their image is going to be received by the people they meet. They want everything they do to be the best of the best, always striving for a certain kind of excellence in their work. This ability to perform under pressure and achieve amazing things, causes people to aspire to a higher level of excellence when they are around the type 3 woman.

Their biggest values and drives are that of personal recognition and being someone that others look up to. They want to stand out and be seen as someone who is both impressive and valuable to others. They are very focused on self-improvement and want to be someone who can achieve just about anything they set their minds to. They constantly are working on growing and becoming the best version of themselves.

The Type 3 Woman Struggles

A struggle for the type 3 woman can sometimes be the workplace and being seen as someone who is a workaholic. Sometimes this desire to constantly improve and be the best can be something which makes them seem aggressive to others. Their competitive nature can sometimes put people off, making it hard for their coworkers to appreciate their skills in the right way. Sometimes this can be difficult for the type 3 woman more than it would for men, since they can be expected to be more emotionally driven. The type 3 female isn’t always connected to certain levels of intimacy and can struggle with some deeper emotional discussions. They aren’t someone who is incapable of expressing emotions, but they don’t really favor spending much time focusing on them. They prefer to focus on things which are more practical, and this can easily be misunderstood by people.

The unhealthy version of the type 3 woman can be overly competitive and this can cause them to push others around a bit. They are constantly seeking reassurance from others, and this can become draining for those around them. They can second-guess themselves, where the healthy version of the 3 woman does quite the opposite. The healthy type 3 is going to be confident in themselves, sure of their accomplishments and their ability to be successful in whatever they do.
