ISTP Personality
The ISTP Personality is all about figuring things out. The ISTP wants to take everything apart just to see how it works. They are natural troubleshooters and can easily understand what needs fixed. They are very observant and learn by doing. Trial and error gets them ever closer to the mastery of the physical world around them. The ISTP wants to stay in motion and figure out how things work. They love challenges and would always prefer to be in an environment that is testing either their knowledge or physical endurance. Daredevils, these types seem to have a knack for knowing just what they can get away with. The ISTP wants to learn as they go. They believe that they can figure out what they need to on their own, and they tend to be confident and successful at completing many projects they set forth on. The ISTP isn’t afraid to put on a show, and may let others join them on their escapades as long as they don’t hinder or restrict their freedom and independent nature. The ISTP can be a bit confusing to others, as they can have long periods of inaction, which can dramatically shift into bursts of energy to try something new. They can be loyal, yet have a strong urge to just drop everything and strike out on something new. The ISTP is a strong personality that will work best with others if it learns to listen and observe instead of striking out on a spontaneous streak.
Enneagram Type 3 (3w2 3w4)
The Enneagram Type 3 is all about achievement and recognition. The Enneagram Type Three is probably the most driven type. They are all about success and using benchmarks to achieve their goals. The E3 is status conscious and will work hard to maintain an image of a winner. Because of this, they can be very hard workers. The Enneagram 3 would do well to figure out what they truly want out of life, instead of just chasing what will give them accolades. Over time, if they are just chasing another arbitrary goal, they may not find it as fulfilling as they hoped. It might feel like its always onto the next challenge. The Enneagram 3 would benefit from figuring out and reflecting on what brings them the most joy. If the E3 can accepts their flaws and become a more well rounded type that comes from a place of authenticity, they can become a role model for others to follow. They ultimately want to feel valuable to others, and if they can approach this from a place of genuineness, they will be an inspiring voice to others around them. Their achievements will likely inspire awe and motivation in others to go after their goals.
