ISFJ Personality

The ISFJ Personality is all about dutifully helping others. The ISFJ is very skilled at knowing and anticipating the wants of others. They are very reliable and do their best to make others around them feel comfortable and supported. They are great at providing material needs and are great at preparing meals, holidays, and decorating for social events and special occasions. The ISFJ, while quiet, is usually social enough to know the world around them and the people that they see every day in their lives. They are strong on tradition and will work hard to preserve it. They are also very caring and have a great attention to detail. This type may surprise others with their analytical abilities. They are very loyal to friends, family, and their job. They may have a hard time dealing with change, but they eventually can come around and adapt. The ISFJ is very dutiful, but they can become resentful if they aren’t feeling appreciated. Sometimes they can take on too many projects without being asked, and expect to be recognized in return. This can be stressful because they are over extending themselves. The ISFJ makes a great and loyal friend. The ISFJ would be wise to figure out their true passions and enjoyment, and make more time to dedicate to their own hobbies. Doing so will allow the ISFJ to have a safe place to retreat when the world isn’t appreciating their many gifts and talents.

Enneagram Type 5 (5w4 5w6)

The Enneagram Type 5 is all about being curious. The Enneagram Type Five is always researching and trying to find out more about their topic of interest. They believe in being competent and it is one way to insulate themselves from a chaotic and sometimes frightening world. They believe that if they are always prepared, they will be ready for whatever comes. The enjoy being knowledgable and will delve deeper into topics than most. However, they need to be skilled at communicating their expertise if they want to effectively apply it to the real world. In fact, accumulating knowledge is in some ways a defense mechanism for the 5. They may delve deep into a topic and ignore more pressing issues in their life. Things like eating healthy, nurturing relationships, and confronting conflicts may take the back burner despite being things they need to face. The strong Enneagram 5 will behave in a way where they are able to delve into the unknown and confront their pressing life struggles head on, while also being able to apply themselves and their expertise to make a dent in the world. The can be seen as quite eccentric and tend to be ahead of their time. Sometimes, they will have to have the courage and boldness to step forward and trust themselves, despite others around them doubting them.
