Enneagram 1 Females: The E1 Woman

The Enneagram is a categorization of personality types based on how people perceive and respond to the world and information they gather, as well their own emotions. This describes 9 different enneagram or personality types, and each one possesses certain core beliefs which are what drives them. These beliefs drive each type and also can be limiting at times, which is why understanding them is so important. It isn’t meant to lock people into those weaknesses or limitations, instead it is meant to help them improve and find ways to maintain a sense of healthy balance in their lives. It also helps to gain a deeper understanding of what motivates the people around you, and helps to comprehend why they contradict themselves at times. Knowing the enneagram gives a clearer sense of these inner motivations and even fears.

Understanding each type is important but it can also be important to understanding the variations. For certain types it might cause them to respond differently to the world being a type 1 woman, and how they are perceived by others because of this. They are also known as the perfectionists type, driven by a desire to be good and right in all of their actions. Understanding how this correlates with being a female type 1, can help to gain a deeper comprehension of how they respond to the world as well as how they can better manage their own emotions.

Type 1 The Perfectionist

The type 1 personality is also known as the perfectionist, caring deeply about being sure that they get things right all of the time. They can be very diligent and responsible people, wanting to be sure they don’t make mistakes or fall behind on things. They care about being precise and ensuring that their actions are taken seriously. This can also cause them to be rather hard on themselves and sometimes more judgemental towards others. They are pragmatic people who value being responsible for their actions and always being sure that they know what they are doing. They have a goal of improving the world and making everything better for the ultimate greater good. This motivation is more than just personal, as they believe that doing their part means positively affecting the world as a whole. While they are hardworking and good at concentrating, the type 1 is constantly reassessing their values and ethics in hope of improving. They take pride in their work and their actions, and are often seen as very controlled but also dependable people.

The E1 Woman Values

The E1 woman shares a deep desire to be the best at what they do, not wanting to let themselves or others down. They care about being good and ethical, wanting to be someone who provides a sense of worth in their society. They see themselves as worthy if they are able to perform things to perfection, curating schedules and ensuring everything is followed through with the right way. They have incredibly high standards, especially when it comes to themselves and their lifestyles. This can certainly be a heavy burden at times, wanting to always be perfect in everything they do. It is never easy being a perfectionist, even if it seems like everything is running smoothly from an outside perspective. The type one woman is going to be very diligent and precise in their actions, but can struggle internally if they feel like they are incapable of handling the many burdens they face. They constantly want to be sure they are living up to their own high standards and don’t like feeling as if they are failing in this.

Having a strong sense of purpose is something which can be overwhelming, but also makes the E1 female rather focused and driven. They do whatever they must in order to achieve those goals, wanting to be someone who makes a true difference. They often feel that they have a higher calling in life, holding themselves to incredible standards. This is something which drives them to achieve greatness, never feeling like they should stop or slack in what they are doing.

The E1 Woman Struggles

They possess a strong sense of integrity, wanting to always be sure their actions are good and honest. This can be difficult at times, as the type 1 female can be hard on themselves in times where they feel like they haven’t performed to these standards. When they make mistakes or feel they are being seen as immoral, it is something which weighs heavily on them. They care about providing a sense of value, and always doing what is right and true. They have a fear of being seen as corrupt or of not being someone who can improve the state of the world around them. This makes them very sensitive to criticism, as they can start to feel like they have failed in their deepest motivations. Feeling like they need to always reassess their actions to be sure they are making ethical choices, can be a burden which is draining at times for this type.

A woman who is intense and perfectionist can be intimidating at times, especially in a world where the type one female feels like they need to constantly fight for what they believe in and want to achieve. Being someone who is more pragmatic than they are emotional, can create certain misunderstandings at times. They naturally feel a need to justify themselves and their actions to those around them (as well as internally), and at times this can cause them to feel like they aren’t quite good enough. Their desire to constantly place a logical and practical answer to their actions, can cause them to misunderstand themselves as well. Ones are actually driven by a deep inner desire to make a difference and to fight for what is good and right in the world. They actually want to make a difference and have a deep emotional desire to do what is right.
