Here’s How Bashful You Can Be, Based on Your Personality Type

Some people can certainly become bashful around strangers, while some are rather confident and comfortable. Here is how bashful you can be, based on your personality type.

INFJ

INFJs can definitely be bashful at times, since they feel such deep emotions. They don’t always show this outwardly though, and might be good at keeping their cool. When the INFJ will be most bashful is when they are around someone they have a bit of an infatuation for, and might struggle to express themselves. They aren’t often flustered, but there are times when their emotions struggle to contain themselves. INFJs can be a bit guarded around strangers, but are more likely to seem shy or bashful around someone they like and haven’t gotten close to just yet.

ENFJ

ENFJs aren’t usually bashful people, and are rather outgoing and even boisterous. They have an energetic attitude and are capable of overcoming their inner emotions most of the time. ENFJs are comfortable socializing with others and can make themselves rather charming when they want to be. While ENFJs are rarely bashful, there are times when their feelings for someone might make it difficult for them to be their normally friendly and charismatic selves.

INFP

INFPs can certainly be bashful around people they have feelings for, especially when they are first getting to know them. They can be a bit nervous around people sometimes, since they feel things so deeply and it can be difficult to contain. INFPs are often bashful because of their depth of emotions, which is what makes them such sensitive and caring people. While they have a shy side, INFPs also have a playful and goofy side that only their loved ones get to experience fully.

ENFP

ENFPs are rarely bashful people and are surprisingly good at overcoming their inner shyness. They might feel a bit nervous around someone they have intense feelings for, but will try their hardest to use their charm in order to make it less obvious. ENFPs feel things very deeply which can be something that makes them a bit shyer around new people. When the ENFP truly cares for someone they will begin to open up and show their true colors, which can result in them being very playful and sometimes all over the place.

INTJ

INTJs are rarely bashful people, but they do keep to themselves often. They don’t allow emotions to control them, which often prevents them from becoming nervous or shy in front of others. They are often viewed as confident people, mostly because they don’t want people to perceive any signs of bashfulness as a weakness. INTJs can become a bit shy around someone they have strong feelings for, but they will likely try and logic themselves into a more comfortable state.

ENTJ

ENTJs don’t often become bashful around others and can come across as very confident. They don’t want to show signs of weakness and might feel like being shy accomplishes this. ENTJs are comfortable being themselves and focus more on efficiency than emotions. They can avoid being nervous around people they like, because they will try not to let those feelings overwhelm them. ENTJs behave in a somewhat assertive manner, which helps them avoid bashfulness.

INTP

While INTPs are logical and analytical people, they can actually be a bit bashful at times. They possess rather deep emotions, which can be difficult for them to bury completely. When the INTP has attempted to ignore their feelings for too long, it might cause them to be a bit shy around people they like or want to impress. This might not be obvious to others though, since INTPs are not very outwardly expressive people. When they are feeling a bit bashful the INTP will likely become quiet, and will only respond in very vague replies.

ENTP

ENTPs are rarely bashful people, and are often more outgoing and charming. While they might feel a bit shy internally when they are around someone they like, ENTPs are good at masking this with humor and playfulness. They often enjoy experiencing things that are a bit challenging to them, even though emotions are the most difficult task to overcome. They are natural when it comes to being in social situations and will push themselves outside of their own comfort zone.

ISTJ

ISTJs are not emotionally expressive people, so they can often avoid expressing any shy feelings. They might feel a bit nervous around someone they truly like, but will cover this well by remaining calm and focusing on what they know to be true. ISTJs are practical people, who strive to get things done and focus on the tasks in front of them. While they aren’t emotionally expressive or outgoing people, they are capable of remaining calm in most situations.

ESTJ

ESTJs are rarely bashful people and often come across as direct and confident. When ESTJs have feelings for someone they don’t become shy, they use their nervousness as a way to take on the challenge. They go after what they want in life, and don’t allow their emotions to get in the way. ESTJs are not bashful people, instead they are assertive and sometimes aggressive, especially when it comes to accomplishing their goals.

ISFJ

ISFJs can definitely become bashful at times, especially since they can sense the emotions of others so easily. When the ISFJ feels overwhelmed with emotion they can become a bit shy, especially around someone they really like. They want to impress their loved ones, and try hard to be someone others can be proud of. ISFJs do care what people think, which can definitely cause them to appear bashful in certain situations.

ESFJ

ESFJs are often seen as social and friendly people, but they have moments where they can become bashful. They often try to hide their emotions, and don’t want people to see that they are nervous. While they don’t like showing themselves openly, ESFJs feel things very deeply and can often sense the emotions of others. Being so connected to the people around them makes it easy for the ESFJ to become bashful, sometimes this shyness actually comes from the emotions of others.

ISTP

ISTPs are not bashful people, and are often rather laidback. It takes a lot for them to become shy in any given situation, and can usually overcome these emotions. ISTPs are more focused on being precise and enjoy being analytical. They rarely allow their emotions to overcome them, and will actually enjoy being pushed outside of their comfort zone for a bit.

ESTP

ESTPs are not bashful people, since they are both charming and outgoing. They rarely allow their feelings for someone to make them shy, and will enjoy being around that person. ESTPs might even become friendlier and more playful when they are around someone they have feelings for. They simply aren’t the shy type, since they are naturally social people.

ISFP

ISFPs can definitely become bashful, especially around someone they truly care for. They are internal people who keep to themselves most of the time, but can become rather nervous around someone they have feelings for. ISFPs will try to cover this up by showing their fun and sweet side, but sometimes the bashfulness finds a way to show itself.

ESFP

ESFPs are naturally outgoing and friendly people, which helps them avoid being too bashful. While ESFPs do become nervous at times, they are more than capable of pushing through it. They enjoy being around others and don’t mind being a little uncomfortable. When the ESFP likes someone they will use their charm and fun personality to make the situation more comfortable for everyone.
