Here’s How You Handle Chaos, Based on Your Personality Type

Here’s How You Handle Chaos, Based on Your Personality Type

Some people can certainly handle challenges, but complete chaos is another thing. Here is how each personality type handles chaos in their environment.

INFJ

INFJs definitely don’t like extreme chaos, but that doesn’t mean they cannot cope with it. They like attempt to find ways to solve the problem in the moment, and allow themselves to panic when it is all over. They can keep themselves feeling stern and focused during most challenges, so that they can ensure the well-being of their loved ones. INFJs do prefer having things planned so that they can maintain a sense of harmony in their environment, but they can certainly handle a bit of chaos. They likely try to utilize their intuition in order to navigate these difficult experiences.

ENFJ

ENFJs are often used to certain levels of chaos, since they take on so much responsibility by themselves. They can usually cope with the stress that comes with chaotic situations, things such as having kids running around while they attempt to organize an event where the caterers are showing up with the wrong food and everything seems to be going wrong…for example. ENFJs know how to handle these situations and will use their intuition as a means of figuring out the best course of action in order to smooth things over properly.

INFP

INFPs can handle certain levels of chaos, and are used to it so some extent. They enjoy allowing life to get a bit messy from time to time, much more than having things be uptight and organized. INFPs don’t like having everything planned and often find they can learn from a bit of chaos in their lives. For the INFP keeping everything planned and organized all of the time is actually more stress than experiencing the chaos that is life. They do become overwhelmed if things are too all over the place though, and might need time to themselves

ENFP

ENFPs can certainly handle chaos, and are often used to it to some extent. They would rather jump into a mess rather than find themselves stuck in the same boring position. Their lives can be a bit of organized chaos, and they enjoy being able to navigate the challenges. ENFPs really hate stagnancy and would prefer things be a bit messy so that they can learn from these experiences. Anything that helps the ENFP dive into something new and shake things up, is often a good thing for them.

INTJ

INTJs don’t mind chaos to some extent and often know how to navigate these challenges. For the most part INTJs enjoy their environment to be within their control, even if they have a sense of organized chaos around them. As long as they are aware of what is happening and can find a way to keep things moving in the right direction, INTJs don’t mind a little chaos. They simply want to maintain their environment their own way, even if that includes chaos to some extent. INTJs dislike having other peoples drama brought into their lives though, and this might mess with their flow and personal organization.

ENTJ

ENTJs can certainly handle chaos to some extent but they prefer to keep things organized and in control. They want to be able to maintain a sense of control of their environment and dislike when others bring their problems into a situation. ENTJs do live in somewhat of an organized sense of chaos, but this is something they understand and can maintain. This seemingly organized and focused person will likely have a bedroom or office that is a bit messy, but they know exactly where everything is.

INTP

INTPs don’t mind a bit of chaos, and often enjoy being able to challenge themselves. When things are too organized or structured the INTP feels trapped. They dislike living their lives by a strict schedule and enjoy being able to dive headfirst into something new. For the INTP life is best when it is filled with challenges and exciting new experiences. They enjoy being able to navigate something new with their intuition and their ability to analyze the information at hand.

ENTP

ENTPs actually enjoy a certain amount of chaos in their lives, since it helps them feel challenged and entertained. When things become too organized or structures the ENTP will feel stagnant. They hate feeling stuck in the same place and enjoy when things become a bit messy. Chaos isn’t scary for the ENTP and actually helps push them to challenge themselves and rise to the occasion. ENTPs simply want to experience new things in life and are happiest when they feel inspired by something exciting and unpredictable.

ISTJ

ISTJs definitely don’t enjoy chaos in their environment and prefer to keep things organized. They dislike when their lives become too messy and want to keep a sense of clarity. ISTJs prefer to maintain control in their environment, and chaos is just a way to leave them stressed and on edge. ISTJs take a lot of responsibility upon themselves to get things done properly, and having things become too messy can really cause them to feel overwhelmed.

ESTJ

ESTJs are focused and hardworking people who prefer to keep a sense of control in their environment. Chaos is actually really stressful for the ESTJ since they want to be able to ensure that everything is maintained properly. They believe in efficiency and when things become chaotic it can be rather difficult to get things done the right way. ESTJs dislike mess around them and want to be able to ensure that everything is handled to the best of their ability.

ISFJ

ISFJs really don’t enjoy chaos at all and prefer to keep things maintained. They value harmony in their environment and want to ensure that everyone is comfortable and cared for. ISFJs like organization around them and don’t want things to become too out of hand. They feel this way because the ISFJ is always trying to ensure that their loved ones are happy and cared for. When things become too chaotic it can be rather difficult to maintain the happiness of everyone around them.

ESFJ

ESFJs definitely don’t enjoy too much chaos and can become frustrated when things become messy around them. They prefer to keep things harmonious around them because they care deeply about the well-being of their loved ones. ESFJs dislike when things get in the way of tending to their loved ones, so they don’t want to allow chaos to seep into their environment. For the ESFJ maintaining harmony helps them keep things organized and ensure that everyone is happy.

ISTP

ISTPs definitely don’t mind a little chaos around them, since they enjoy mixing things up. They live so much in the present moment that sometimes they find themselves diving into things that become a bit messy. ISTPs just want to enjoy their lives and experience adventure without feeling trapped or stuck in the same position. They enjoy diving into something new and want to seek out adventure in their lives.

ESTP

ESTPs don’t mind a little chaos in their environment, since they want their lives to be filled with adventure. When things become too stagnant they actually become anxious and frustrated. ESTPs want to experience living in the moment and sometimes this means that things will get a bit chaotic. They don’t mind when things are messy and often know how to navigate this surprisingly well.

ISFP

ISFPs don’t mind a little bit of chaos in their lives, and enjoy being able to experience new things. When they become too stagnant it leaves the ISFP feeling trapped and unhappy. They want their lives to be filled with passion and adventure, so this sometimes means mess and chaos are bound to happen. ISFPs can often live their lives in a bit of organized chaos, and enjoy letting things become messy from time to time.

ESFP

ESFPs don’t mind chaos from time to time, and often take chances just to experience something new. They can often be seen as chaotic people, since they are so interested in living in the moment and being spontaneous. Instead of feeling trapped in the same boring schedule, ESFPs want their lives to truly mean something and be inspiring in some ways. They want to experience passion which sometimes means they live their lives in a bit of chaos.
