WallFlower

Here’s How Much of a Wallflower You Are, According to Your Personality Type

While some people enjoy being center of attention, others remain behind the scenes. Here is how much of a wallflower you are, according to your personality type.

INFJ

INFJs can definitely be seen as wallflowers, especially when they are feeling a bit withdrawn. INFJs need plenty of time to recharge on their own, and become drained quickly if they aren’t given this. When they are feeling overwhelmed by the presence of others, they can have a wallflower demeanor. They will take a step back and observe the people around them, just taking it all in quietly. INFJs are often more aware than people think, they just don’t need to be center of attention in order to absorb information.

ENFJ

ENFJs aren’t often seen as wallflowers, since they are outgoing and charismatic people. They are great at putting themselves out there, and don’t mind being the center of attention. While ENFJs enjoy being social and connecting with others, there are times when they are capable of taking a step back. When the ENFJ is letting their loved ones shine, they can certainly be the wallflower hanging back. They can sometimes find themselves drawn to the wallflowers, and the people who might be viewed as outcasts. ENFJs want to connect with the people who have passion and who intrigue them in unique ways.

INFP

INFPs can definitely take on the role as wallflower, especially when they are caught up in their own thoughts. INFPs don’t need to be center of attention in order to enjoy the presence of their loved ones. They can become easily drained by people, so they often need to take a step back so that they don’t become overwhelmed. INFPs are certainly fun and adventurous people when they are around the ones they trust, but that doesn’t make them less of a wallflower.

ENFP

ENFPs are charismatic and outgoing people, who enjoy being around their loved ones. They can sometimes have a wallflower personality inside of them, but their desire to experience new things takes over. ENFPs do enjoy being center of attention sometimes, especially if it pushes them outside of their comfort zone. While deep down ENFPs might possess the unique and quirky spirit of a wallflower, they find themselves becoming center stage a bit more than most others who share the title.

INTJ

INTJs definitely can be wallflowers, especially since they prefer to avoid people most of the time. They aren’t necessarily shy, but rather the INTJ will hang in the background by choice. They would often prefer to observe people, and truly hate being forced into social situations without an easy out. Having to engage with people too much can leave the INTJ feeling drained and even a bit short tempered. Just being able to observe people and study their surroundings, is much more beneficial for them.

ENTJ

ENTJs are not usually wallflowers, and prefer to be in the thick of things. They aren’t afraid to take charge and will always do their best to get things done effectively. They are efficient and hardworking people, who value loyalty in their relationships. ENTJs want to connect with others, even if they appear a bit abrasive and unexpressive at times. They value their relationships deeply, and simply want to maintain lasting and real bonds. ENTJs don’t want to stand back in the shadows and let life pass them by, and would much rather take control.

INTP

INTPs can definitely be wallflowers, especially since they prefer to observe situations. They can become quickly drained by too much social interaction, and enjoy being on their own. INTPs have such active inner minds that people can often believe they aren’t paying attention to their surroundings. In truth INTPs actually enjoy being able to observe and analyze what they see around them, especially when it comes to the actions of others. They often enjoy being a wallflower, because they find they can take in so much more information that way.

ENTP

ENTPs aren’t usually seen as wallflowers, since they prefer to dive into life. They aren’t afraid of taking center stage, especially since they enjoy being able to push outside of their comfort zone. ENTPs don’t do anything halfway, and believe in experiencing things in a fresh and exciting way. ENTPs have such a wild spirit, and aren’t afraid of taking chances in life. They would rather be in the thick of things, than standing behind observing. ENTPs are always paying attention to what is going on around them, but they prefer to do that actively not passively.

ISTJ

ISTJs can definitely be wallflowers sometimes, especially since they enjoy being on their own. ISTJs aren’t the type to want to become the center of attention and would often prefer to observe. They like seeing their loved ones happy and having fun, and sometimes ISTJs enjoy participating as well. They can definitely hold their own in a social situation, since they are respectful and understanding people. While ISTJs aren’t always fans of being in the limelight, they do know how to have fun.

ESTJ

ESTJs are definitely not wallflowers, and are happier when they can interact with others. ESTJs won’t just sit back and watch things happen, and would much rather participate. They aren’t afraid to take charge of a situation, ESTJs are social people, who prefer to interact with their loved ones. They value efficiency above most things in life, and prefer to take charge in order to get things done. Instead of standing in the background, ESTJs realize that they need to be center stage sometimes in order to lead.

ISFJ

ISFJs aren’t usually wallflowers, since they enjoy spending time with their loved ones. They do sometimes take a step back in order to let others shine, but they want to be a part of things. ISFJs dislike feeling left out from certain situations, especially when it comes to their loved ones. The ISFJ will definitely participate in certain social interactions, and enjoy being friendly and even occasionally outgoing.

ESFJ

ESFJs are outgoing people who enjoy being able to make connections with others. While ESFJs are social and friendly, they do have wallflower tendencies. Instead of trying to be center of attention, ESFJs enjoy taking a step back and allowing others to shine. They sometimes prefer to observe and pay close attention to their loved ones. For ESFJs it is important to ensure that there is a sense of harmony around them, so they don’t mind having to observe rather than participate.

ISTP

ISTPs are not so much wallflowers, as they are lone wolves. They prefer to be on their own most of the time, and enjoy feeling free to do their own thing. When ISTPs do attend social events, they can surprise people with their charm and participation. For ISTPs it entirely depends on their mood and what they desire in that present moment. They dislike feeling forced into something, and prefer to explore new things.

ESTP

ESTPs are certainly not wallflowers, and actually enjoy being center of attention sometimes. ESTPs love participating in social situations, and are often very charismatic people. They have a natural charm which really draws people in, and makes them want to know the ESTP better. They are outgoing people who want to take advantage of new opportunities in life.

ISFP

While ISFPs do enjoy being on their own, they aren’t always wallflowers. They also enjoy being able to connect with people, and have friendly and fun personalities. For the ISFP it often depends on their current mood, and if they are feeling up for a little excitement. When the ISFP is feeling a bit reserved and in need of alone time, they will simply find a way to avoid a social gathering.

ESFP

ESFPs are definitely not wallflowers, and prefer to be the center of attention. They enjoy social situations and really enjoy anything that is exciting and fun. ESFPs live very much in the present moment and are the natural entertainers of the personality world. They want to make sure everyone is having a good time and they aren’t afraid to embarrass themselves a little for the sake of fun.
