Here’s How Important Being Precise is to Each Personality Type
For some people being precise is extremely important, while others are more focused on being sensitive to the needs of others. Here is how important precision is to each personality type.
INFJ Precision
INFJs believe that precision is important but being compassionate takes priority. They dislike not having the proper information and work hard to be knowledgeable people. INFJs are often impressively well-read people who love to spend time doing research on interesting topics. They do believe it is important to be accurate, especially when it comes to certain things they are passionate about. INFJs also believe that caring for others and being considerate of their feelings is much more important than precision. If being overly accurate is going to hurt the feelings of another person, then they will often shy away from this option.
ENFJ Precision
ENFJs can sometimes have a desire to be precise, especially when they are feeling stressed. When the ENFJ is under high levels of stress they can appear more like their function opposite, which makes them more focused on accuracy. During this time the ENFJ finds themselves less interested in emotions and more focused on being right and analyzing the situation. ENFJs during their healthy times will put the feelings of others well above being accurate, even though they do find precision somewhat important. If their desire for accuracy can be expressed in a way that does not hurt someone else, they will be all for it.
INFP Precision
INFPs are imaginative people, and often care much more about this than they do precision. INFPs don’t mind when life gets a little bit messy, and have a much more unique approach to things. They would rather look at the bigger pictures than get too caught up on the details. INFPs actually become very frustrated with people who demand precision with pointless things. They would much rather get to the heart of the matter and understand what is most important, rather than focus on being precise. INFPs are full of heart and sincerity, which makes them more focused on being kind and compassionate than being right.
ENFP Precision
ENFPs are not always the most precise people, but they are perfectly capable of it when they want. If the ENFP is truly angry at someone, then they instantly become focused on the details and can be rather harsh with them. Normally ENFPs are more focused on emotions and doing what is right, and dislike getting too hung up on being precise. They are definitely capable of noticing when someone is not being entirely accurate, but try to express this without hurting their feelings too much. ENFPs simply want to avoid too many arguments, and would rather try to keep things positive.
INTJ Precision
INTJs prefer to focus on things that are practical and useful to them, and truly do enjoy being precise. INTJs definitely dislike seeing inaccuracies in the world around them and will not be afraid to let people know the truth. They dislike feeling unprepared which makes the INTJ do unbelievable amounts of research to fully understand a subject. They definitely believe that being precise is important when it comes to information, and do not want to say anything that isn’t delivered in a detailed manner. INTJs dislike when certain information is left out, since it can easily alter the analysis. They can become frustrated when people leave out important facts, and might even feel like this discredits them completely.
